I can have a 5 star experience camping primitively. It has potential to be a great bed & breakfast, but it's not. After a full day's worth of driving on dangerous winding roads through the mountains all I wanted to do was unwind! Sadly, this was not the hotel for that. My road trip to close out 2017 and bring in the New Year had a total of 5 hotel stays. I know that when traveling in rural areas it's difficult to get commodities we are used to. My 11 day vacation was in remote rural areas and I booked my hotels beforehand. The only things I required was Wi-Fi for the kids and hot water for me. Both of those things are hard to come by in South America, unless you're staying at a high end resort and even then Wi-Fi sometimes comes at an additional price. I don't understand why, even Turkey offered those things plus breakfast in the most rural of areas! I don't recommend it. Here's why: They do have free Wi-Fi, but the signal doesn't reach inside the room in their third floor three bed room. At first, I told the kids "No big deal one night without internet will not kill you, just watch television." To which they replied with a knot in their throats, "What TV? Where is it?" We asked to be moved, so for the same price no discount I was downgraded to a two bed room. Where the signal was weak and my children complained about losing the signal every few minutes. Then there is the bathroom. The toilet is in the shower. No I am not kidding. I mean there is no door to separate it and when you shower the sink and toilet shower too. Remember to take out the toilet paper so it doesn't get wet, and then remember to bring it back in so you can wipe your behind. This is all, you need additional warning? In case you still have doubts, remember I said I require hot water. My oldest took a shower, then my middle son got in and with soap still in his hair he starts yelling "mommy the water is cold!"

Everywhere else we looked at was either not available or sketchy looking. This is a nice hotel to stay at if you're looking to visit the Waterfalls in Huesteca San Luis Potosí.
