I am an American and I was here in June 2013. I stayed here, alone, for about 7 days. I chose this…read morehotel based on price and other people's reviews. I have a rudimentary understanding of the German language; enough to get by. I had someone drive me there and it's a cute little building next to a creek or brook. I got there around 11 and had to wait an hour for my room to be cleaned; that was the only bad thing. The staff was very friendly right away. It was very hot outside and the rooms don't have air conditioning, but that's normal in Germany because it's not usually hot outside. Luckily there was a small fan in the room. All of the staff speaks English, except for the housekeeper, and they are all very friendly and helpful. I had many conversations with them and they helped me to find things around town. They have 2 dogs that live there that are so sweet. There's a grassy area outside with lots of flowers and places to sit. The inside smells like cigarette smoke right inside the front door because they smoke inside in the kitchen; another bad thing. My room was on the 3rd floor so I had to walk up a lot of stairs but I was ok with that. The stairs and hallways are very old and give the building some character. The rooms, at least the one I was in, have all been renovated and are very modern. My bathroom was very nice, there was a refrigerator, a bureau, a nightstand, a lamp, a tv, a desk right at the window with a chair, and a twin size bed. It was perfect for one person. The housekeeper cleaned it every day and gave me new towels and sheets every day. They serve breakfast every morning in a room that had several tables and chairs and a small buffett. Also, they have a good wifi connection and there's a card in the room that tells you how to get the password. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof and about a 10 minute walk from the middle of town. There is a bus stop right at the other side of the creek. The hotel borders the Süd Park, which is so beautiful. There is a nearby church and you can hear it's bells loud and clear, I loved that. Over all I loved the location, the hotel, the staff, the room, scenery, and the price. I definitely recommend this hotel.
