In the small town of Stege on the island of Moen Hotel Residens surely is an impressive sight, as it is overlooking the sea, rolling in just on the other side of the street. This modern hotel has something to live up to. Having the evening dinner on the terrass in a beautiful Scandinavian summer is a lovely experience though the food is covering your plate more than it tastes, the room needs some more air to make the night pleasant enough and you have a constant wondering why this place, so beautiful, really doesn't embrace the beauty, but seems to prefer a provincial attitude. The potential is surely there for something better. The breakfast tasted very good and the coffee far over the usual standard. The precautions taken in corona times were excellent. Left the hotel with a smile thanks to the staff being very kind and willing to help you plan the discovery of the island. read more
