The menu uses local, seasonal ingredients and was perfect and very filling. Wonderful bread, local beer, and local wine. For dinner, it's best to be seated right when they open at 6pm as dishes do sell out as it seems they have a limited amount some of the fresh ingredients. Otherwise, perhaps it's possible to ask them to hold a particular dish for you, especially if you are staying in the hotel. The staff of the hotel were very kind and relaxed. It felt very cozy and homey to stay here with the family atmosphere. Highly recommended! Some background: ​The hotel rooms are decorated in the new Nordic style, which is light, friendly, and simple. The hotel was originally an old merchant's house and was rebuilt as a hotel in 1829. One of Denmark's best-known chefs and gastronomic entrepreneurs, Claus Meyer, took over the hotel in 2006 and his food philosophy permeates the restaurant's menu. Meyer is credited as the founder of the New Nordic Cuisine philosophy. He and chef René Redzepi co-founded Noma. We stayed 1 day on a spontaneous trip to see Møns Klint at this hostel…read more It has free parking, walking distance 5K to Møns Klint (we drove by car because of timelimits) and near the Klintholm Harbour 5 minutes by car (which has about 4 restaurants for lunch/dinner). It is situated near at beautiful old church and fields of rapeseed. We were welcomed by pleasant staff who were about to serve a home coked meal for dinner. You pay a little extra for linen and towels (70DKK). There were no shower or toilet in the room, but a single sink with warm and cold water and a mirror. Our rooms view were to some fields and beech hedge. The room had bunkbeds and some closets. Everything was nice and clean including the showers and toilets. They had the opportunity for handicapped since everything is on the first floor in an otherwise two floored building. In front there is small benches for outside grilling (you can by cheap supplies in the reception) and football (soccer) playing on the grass. They serve breakfast and dinner, which smelled and looked good, but we didn't try. We ate dinner at Klintholm harbour and breakfast at Møns Klint Cafe (opens at 10AM). This hostel is very basic but has everything a hostel needs including it being near Møns Klint. CONS: not soundproofed! Not a problem, because people were not loud on our stay. PROS: good location near Møns Klint (a must see and very impressive)

Traveling through Europe by car I also visited Stege. I didn't book anyhting in advance, so just…read moredrove and stopped by Hotel Stege Nor. I'd somehow still call it a B&B, but Hotel works too I guess. The room I was in was very cozy, the view on Stege Nor was amazing! Check out my pictures =) The host was very friendly, she recommended great places to visit while on Mon and seemed totally into wanting to give me a great experience staying there. The room was a little pricey, it was DKK 600 for one night and person including breakfast, but okay, I had a great room. Except for the shower, which was in the toilet, so when showering everything gets wet (paper towels, mirror, toilet....). But who cares. Unfortunately the breakfast wasn't very rich. As I am part Swiss, part Danish and travel a lot I can tell that it wasn't prepared with love, unlike other places I had visited. That's why I only give four stars.

Relaxing camping site in a beautiful environment !!!…read more I was impressed of the views around us. The camping is OK sized, not to big and it is so nice with all the hills. You have even a little lake where you can camp around. For people with a tent you can even camp in a forest area. The facility rooms are really well equipped and the bathroom / toilettes are clean enough. And you find them on different spots. You have a restaurant, little store, kids area, swimming pool and a few cabins to rent. The cool thing about this camping is that you can pick your place. No numbers, no little spot assigned, it looks all natural and still not to wild. It gives you a bit of freedom. The staff is really friendly and honest friendly. The environment is amazing. You can do very nice walks and especially the Møns Klint is breathtaking. A place to recommend if you're not into a standard camping site.
