Amazing view, nice rooms, terrible food and service.
Came here with a group of 200 people from all over the place (Europe, Canada, US, Venezuela, Cuba, Argentina, Brazil... And of course Mexico).
The food was SO BAD, honestly, terrible, and not only during our lunch hours when we had a buffet but also when we ordered from the menu, my mom ordered a steak and the rice that came with was beyond rotten, she had to go to the bathroom to spit it out. We got quinoa one day and it literally had tiny rocks in it!! They didn't clean it!!! A friend ordered a sandwich and it had 1 slice of ham and was poorly done. We had to wait for over an hour for the waiters to come get our orders (most of the time I would just go to the cashier and order there myself) and then they would just tell us the kitchen was closed. Out of 200 people, about 180 left with a stomachache and some even spent a few nights at the toilet. The person in charge in our organization went to talk to the chef at least 5 times and he would leave her standing and talking by herself.
Honestly, at first I thought they were discriminating us for being mostly Mexicans (being that there's mostly expats in the area), but they were rude even to the foreigners.
Rude, untrained, unqualified staff... The last day the managers started checking the rooms over an hour before checkout and walked into an old lady getting changed.
We brought over $120,000USD to their hotel in less than a week.. and they didn't deliver.
The chef said he had work in Whole Foods and so he would be able to cook for people with special dietary needs... Serving rotten and stale food and sticking to rice and steamed veggies doesn't count.... And he even dared to have an attitude with everyone... It is clear that he lied in his resume and the owners are just in business for the money.
Again, the place is beautiful and has a lot of potential... But please, for your own sake, bring your own food. read more
