This modern hotel is geared towards the business person. It's on the upscale side, but not 5 star…read morestatus. I think compared to other places, yes it's better quality. Staff is friendly for the most part, they are willing to answer questions, usually the doormen are the friendliest since you will see them the most. Most speak English, but not everyone is good. They know basic stuff.
Located on the east side of the city in Las Condes, it's a 10 minute walk to the Manquehue metro station, where you can go downtown or somewhere else pretty easily and cheaply. There's a mall about the same distance to the northwest. If you don't mind being away from city center and commuting in, this is a good option.
The pools here are mixed, the warm pool is kinda too warm, and the outdoor pool is absolutely freezing - it's very difficult to be in that pool for more than a minute. I do like that it's on the top floor - good views.
The breakfast is alright, there's standard eggs, bacon, meats - with breads, deli stuff, pastries, toast, yogurt, juices. It's not a Bellagio buffet, but can satisfy a morning meal so you don't have to look for other food. There's a grocery store across the street, so that's convenient.
The room itself is nice, the bed was comfortable, A/C, a tv, safe, lighting options, clean bathroom. The area is safe, I did not feel threatened at any point even when walking at night from the subway station.
