I'd like to give this hotel a higher rating, but there were one too many issues with my stay for me…read moreto ignore. First, there's a big disconnect between the hotel and the broader Bonvoy program. I used suite night awards toward this reservation, and got an email confirming a suite a few days before my arrival. Despite the confirmation, I was still placed in a standard room. The front desk also came to my room around 1230pm on my final day, asking if I was leaving yet, since standard checkout is at 12pm. The problem is, I indicated late checkout on the app (and when checking in at the front desk), so I was confused why they were pressuring me to leave at the standard time. Finally, the club lounge was never stocked, it was just a glorified seating area more than anything else. Bonvoy issues aside, the room was fine, but a little below expectations for the price. The water pressure in both the shower and toilet was comically low, and very unsatisfying. There was repainting directly across the hall from me, which apparently couldn't wait, and left me huffing paint fumes for the majority of my stay. And the location of this hotel is a little inconvenient relative to most of the major tourist activities, though there are nice restaurants about 10 minutes away on foot. Overall, I think this hotel would benefit from tightening up its operations, in terms of guest placements, check ins/out, and maintenance projects near guest rooms.

I will NEVER go back. It is hard to find a nice bar that you can sit at in Santiago, and as a…read moretraveler, that is what I am used to. I found this bar with my sister two days ago and had a couple of drinks, and a good experience. So we returned. The bartender was great, and there again. We are from the USA, but we understand Spanish. Something that the two people seated behind us did not assume. We ordered drinks - and my sister said to me, they don't think we can understand them, do they? I hadn't been listening until then, but I started. They were talking in extremely derogatory terms and mocking us openly. My sister is younger than me by a decent amount, and at one point the gentleman said that she was most likely sleeping with me so she could afford to keep coloring her hair. I will spare you the rest of the lurid and graphic details, but they wasted no time belittling us and laughing about the possible follies of my "purchased relationship" that they presumed, and all of this was right in front of us. We asked the bar tender if they worked there - because it looked like perhaps a casual business meeting between them - and he confirmed that they were employees of the hotel!! So I just spent time and money going to Renaissance hotel to be out loud mocked and sexually degraded by the staff. I intend to take this to every level of the organization. Pull the tapes renaissance - you will see it. It happened November 26, 2025 in the 18:00 hour. You will see what we experienced. I have been a traveling professional for 30+ years - and have been a pretty loyal Marriott person. I KNOW that this is not what the brand represents or intends - which is why something MUST be done - these people need to lose their jobs. When I got up to leave - because I was not about to listed to more, and cancelled my order - I said to them, in spanish, that I understood them - and he looked surprised and like a juvenile in trouble, but made no attempt to even apologize. It would occur to me that his paycheck may depend on tourists, so he might want to mock them less, and for sure don't make it explicit and sexual. NOT OKAY. NOT AT ALL. I will hope that this review receives a reply from someone who understands what the brand represents and stands for.

The view of the city and the mountain was spectacular. The hotel is located near a couple of large malls and many restaurants, plus everything I wanted to see was a 10 minute Uber ride away. The staff was friendly and helpful. The gym was a bit spartan, no bikes of any kind, but they do have some good machines and teadmills. The pool is outside and okay, but I didn't use it. I would definitely stay here again!

The front desk messed up my key card access for the room so I had to drag my luggage all the way back down from the 23rd floor to have them re-do it. First world problems. The room was foolishly large with insane views of the city from the 23rd floor, also where the sucky executive lounge is located. The only thing they offer is non-alcoholic beverages and stupid snacks like M&Ms and raisins. But hey, at least it's 24 hours. As for complimentary breakfast at Cafe Med, I have never been more unimpressed with a breakfast buffet at a Marriott. And I average over 30 nights a year at Marriott properties. The food was absolutely atrocious. Overall, the hotel has zero charm given its location inside a business center. The only reason I'm at 4 stars is because of the upgrade, the gym and the pool. The gym is pretty stacked with equipment and the pool area is quite nice.

A great stay for me doesn't invalidate someone else's disappointment, and a bad experience for another person doesn't mean the hotel can't shine. But in this case, I genuinely hope my review helps anyone in doubt about staying here. Because my stay at The Ritz-Carlton Santiago was nothing short of phenomenal. The rooms were fantastic: comfortable, elegant, and meticulously maintained. Their pool and hot tub were also highlights, beautiful, relaxing spaces that elevated the whole experience. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the service, which was incredible from beginning to end. The breakfast spread was wide, varied, and delicious. Something for everyone. One of the standout items was a Chilean dessert I absolutely loved. When I asked Daniel Pinto, the Maitre d' what it was and where I could buy it outside the hotel, he went above and beyond, bringing me a boxed portion to take with me. Even more impressive, Daniel wasn't working the next morning, yet he still arranged for the head chef to bake an entire pastry of this dessert and deliver it to our table. And a special shoutout to Consuelos, who baked it early in the morning just so it would be fresh for us. That level of thoughtfulness is truly rare. My stay at The Ritz-Carlton Santiago was extraordinary in every way, and the warmth and dedication of the staff made it unforgettable. I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.

Staff is friendly for the most part, they are willing to answer questions, usually the doormen are the friendliest since you will see them the most. Most speak English, but not everyone is good. They know basic stuff. Located on the east side of the city in Las Condes, it's a 10 minute walk to the Manquehue metro station, where you can go downtown or somewhere else pretty easily and cheaply. There's a mall about the same distance to the northwest. If you don't mind being away from city center and commuting in, this is a good option. The pools here are mixed, the warm pool is kinda too warm, and the outdoor pool is absolutely freezing - it's very difficult to be in that pool for more than a minute. I do like that it's on the top floor - good views. The breakfast is alright, there's standard eggs, bacon, meats - with breads, deli stuff, pastries, toast, yogurt, juices. It's not a Bellagio buffet, but can satisfy a morning meal so you don't have to look for other food. There's a grocery store across the street, so that's convenient. The room itself is nice, the bed was comfortable, A/C, a tv, safe, lighting options, clean bathroom. The area is safe, I did not feel threatened at any point even when walking at night from the subway station.

This was the hotel that my family stayed at during our vacation in Santiago, Chile. This hotel was…read morerather luxurious. The hotel was clean and well furnished with modern amenities. Our stay came with free breakfast every morning. The rooms were pretty nice. We stayed at this hotel for about a week in total. The hotel looked very business friendly. Tile floors, wooden desks, and leather chairs gave the hotel an elegant ambience. The hotel had wi-fi available and the signal was pretty strong. Some of the employees in the hotel lobby spoke english. The concierge can give you information on some of the popular places in the area. The hotel has a massage center, a gym, a spa, a pool and a jacuzzi on the 15th floor. The pool and the jacuzzi were very cool, they both have a fantastic view of downtown santiago so bring your bathing suit. The free breakfast from the hotel was not bad. There were a variety of options: cereal, sausages, bacon sandwiches, eggs, hashed browns, yogurt, granola, fruit, coffee and juices. The rooms were very nice, we stayed on the eighth floor. The room came with a beautiful view of downtown and the nearby park. The bathroom felt very modern. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were warm. The rooms came with a mini bar. Room service is available. The electrical outlets are not the same as the north american electrical outlets; outlet adapters can be requested for free in the hotel lobby. The room came with a large flatscreen television, the tv even had an hdmi port. The tv was equipped with cable, and the hotel had a good variety of channels available. Additionally a decent amount of the channels available could be translated to english with some settings changes. The only problem I had with the room was that our air conditioning ended up going out. We called the front desk and they sent a mechanic to fix the air conditioning unit. The mechanic did manage to fix the air conditioning and the air conditioner came back on. Unfortunately, when the air conditioner did come back online, it was extremely loud, it sounded like someone was showering all night. There is a restaurant in the hotel lobby. My family and I did not try the restaurant. However the restaurant does have a bar and is open until 11pm on weekends. In conclusion, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much. Hotel Plaza El Bosque is an elegant business friendly hotel in central Santiago. The hotel exceeded my expectations, the hotel was modern even by American standards. The service was good, the employees were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Santiago, Chile.

I decided a pros and cons list was the best way to sum up my stay: PROs: - I visited in the fall and the USD seems to go a bit further in Chile than expected. That said, my room was a great deal! It was on the 19th floor and had amazing views of the city and the Andes in two separate directions. It also had a massive bathroom and in room tub. - I ordered room service one night when I decided it was too late to venture into the city and find a meal. Once again, very reasonably priced room service and a delicious selection. - The staff was very friendly. Almost everyone spoke English fluently but was more than willing to indulge my attempts at Spanish. CONs: - Unless you are big shopper (this hotel is literally in Costanera Center mall), you are pretty far from some of the main sights in Santiago. However, the metro is nearby and very easy to use. The surrounding area is also safe and easily navigable. - One thing that bugged me was how dirty the windows are. It was a small gripe and certainly cold whether for window cleaning but it would have been nice if they weren't so foggy. All in all, I would recommend a stay here. It was an American style hotel in the heart of a non-touristy part of Santiago. They also have plentiful amenities - rooftop bar, fitness center, parking, etc. Thanks for a great stay!
