The staff were friendly and helpful with the language barrier. The location was very nice! It's in walking distance of Bells Steakhouse, the cafe we had breakfast in, and many other restaurants. The bus stop was across the street and easy to get to for the city. I highly recommend this hotel outside the busy city for a less expensive room, but in a charming part of town.

I don't understand the low ratings for this hotel…read more My husband and I enjoyed a very pleasant and clean hotel. The room was a standard, not super fancy or decadent hotel with a very comfortable king sized bed and super clean bathroom. I liked that there was a mini foyer upon entering the room where you can hang your coat and closet to store bags and clothes.The foyer separated the bathroom and the bedroom. The hotel decor could afford an update but it wasn't too hard on the eyes and the nose. Everyone smokes in Europe pretty much and was very pleased that upon request we were able to get a smoke free room / floor. For tourists like ourselves, it was just important to us that the hotel room was clean, smoke free, have free Wifi and breakfast options aka COFFEE! We basically used this hotel just to sleep and launch from. This placed ticked off everything on our list PLUS location was perfect - not too far from a major highways and cities. It felt like we were in the suburbs but in reality - there were a few businesses not too far away. Parking could be an issue here if you find yourself coming in very late. The staff was able to "reserve" us a spot a couple of times and for that we were pretty thankful! Hotel Schriberhof also has a restaurant and we were able to get our "liquid breakfast" there every morning in addition to their fresh breads/pastries, fruit and full breakfast offerings. It wasn't bad. In all actuality, it was quite convenient knowing that we didn't have to go look for a place for breakfast on some mornings. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this to our friends and family visiting Munich.
