If you are looking for a historic place to relax for several days, this is the place! You will sleep in very clean and very comfortable rooms (the pictures on their website don't do them justice). If you are used to AC just make sure to select your room accordingly as it can get hot during the spring/summer months. The garden and pool area are extremely well kept and you can also play tennis or volleyball there, go for horse rides or get a massage. The staff is amazing and the food here is delicious. If you plan your wedding here, you have several beautiful locations for cocktail/ceremony/party to choose from on the hacienda. It is just the perfect location! FYI a fun fact, just recently the Netflix series Bandidos was filmed here.

You can see various historical artifacts throughout the place. Like water ducts and the original kitchen that was next to his master suite (that you can rent) in case he got hungry in the middle of the night. The pools are huge and very Romanesque feel with pool side service and lounge chairs and shade. We went for our friends 25 wedding anniversary and it was so freaking hot it was crazy. The rooms have AC and mosquito repellent-very much needed once the sun goes down. You can horse ride around the property and order a massage. Its mostly just chill here not much to do but relax, eat and drink. Its ugly little town on the drive in but once you hit the hotel its another world. Staff goes above and beyond in helping. Its old school here they don't have even do on line reservations. Food was good as well as the drinks. Everything reasonably priced. I loved getting away from it all and my husband and I had a great time at this party held here on the premises. Bring cool clothes lots of sunblock and be ready to just sit back and relax.

The wifi connection does not work throughout the hotel. Upon check out, there was no valet to get our car and the receptionist gave an attitude when we didn't bring the remote controls from our rooms as collateral. I ran late for my meeting because check out took so long while the receptionist gave us attitude as though we were inconveniencing her. Sadly, this is probably the best hotel option in downtown, Tlaxcala but next time I'll take my chances on an Airbnb.

I was between giving this a 4 and a 5 because it wasn't perfect, but frankly the staff was EXCELLENT so I decided to round up. The pros: 1) Seriously one of the best hotel staffs I've experienced. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We actually got put in a room with an odd sulfur smell first and they moved us immediately and apologized profusely. We had no issues after. They were really prompt at getting our car from the valet, too. 2) Fantastic breakfast buffet, and to add to the excellent staff service, we were uncomfortable eating in the dining room because of Covid and it was quite full, and they served us at the pool where no one else was and it was airy. Really awesome. The food was delicious, especially the tamal and the cannelloni. 3) Every inch of the hotel is beautiful, from the lobby to the dining room to the side rooms to the pool to the outdoors spaces. Cons: 1) The beds are quite hard. If you need a soft bed, this spot isn't for you. I wasn't nuts about the bed but tbh everywhere I've stayed in Mexico has had a hard bed so idk if there's much I can do about that. 2) There were no hangers in our room. We didn't bother asking for them but honestly it's plausible someone stole them because unfortunately people do that. Check in with them on that if you don't have any in your room. 3) The wifi is TERRIBLE. Truly awful. Don't expect to be able to work here if that's what you're trying to do. It disconnects every ten min or so and barely works. I know these cons should bring this to a 4.... But I can't. The staff was amazing and made up for it.

The staff is also friendly and hard working. Now there are some problems about this hotel. Some rooms don't have enough water pressure, or some rooms have a very confusing lock as I was stuck outside my room for 10 minutes because the lock was hard to use. Breakfast is also lacking, as there is only three items: pancakes, omelet, salad, and yogurt. I recommend this hotel a million percent

I knew we weren't going to make breakfast, so I called just to make sure they were open for lunch and the first thing the guy on the phone warned me about was that breakfast was no longer being served. That must be some breakfast. When we arrived shortly after 1 PM on a Sunday, they were breaking down what was left of the buffet. We definitely missed out. As for lunch, they would only serve us apps until 1:30. Main dishes were available to order after that. We tried for the empanadas, but they were out so we instead got the garlic shrimp and mushrooms and the Oaxacan cheese quesadillas. The boys were happy with the latter (I didn't try). The shrimp were finger-licking good and the rice was cooked to perfection. For a main, I went with the duck enchiladas in red mole. They were absolutely delicious. Way too much mole, as is often the case with most authentic Mexican mole dishes. And the shredded lettuce wasn't necessary, but the enchiladas had great flavor. The service was excellent and the views are incredible. This is a great place to have a relaxing meal, enjoy the sights and a quiet break from the craziness on the main street and take lots of pictures.

This is what Bread and Breakfast hotels are made of…read more If you are in Mexico or anywhere near Cuernavaca and you are planning to get away , this is the place you want to be . It's beautiful , serene , a breath of fresh air. They will take good care of you here without being intrusive . The hotel is white , everything is white . I don't know how they maintain it but it gives it an air of grandeur and beauty you won't see anywhere else . The rooms are huge . We stayed in the 03. Huge king size bed , wide bathroom and shower (no bath) . Stayed here for 3 nights . All the rooms have a large common lounge area or balcony where you can sit and read or have your meetings . The rooms also have a an air conditioner and a ceiling fan. The ceilings are really high so the air takes a while to circulate but once it does you are in for a treat even in summer . In the 03 room I noticed some noise at night from the 100 bars / restaurants on the corner of the hotel . Okay maybe not 100 but there's a lot of them . There's also a DJ in the hotel spinning on Friday nights so if you are one of those light sleepers , shut all your windows (bathroom and bedroom ) and that should help . They also have ear plugs free on the both sides of the bed stand so the noise shouldn't be a problem . They have two pools here . One is in the middle of the restaurant (for the extroverts ), there's a more secluded one on the other side of the hotel for is introverts . You'll find it. The menu here is robust . Breakfast is free . They have Mexican options ( chillaquilles and such ) American options (scrambled eggs ) and healthy options (granola , fruits , oatmeal ) . The dinner menu is robust too. Tried the pork belly, lentil soup, didn't care for the Caesar salad but that's just me (too much mayo) . Prices range from 7-10 usd per meal. There was paella on the weekend when I was there . The other reason you should stay here is that it's central and only a walking distance from all the tourist places you want to go here . It's opposite the palacio de cortez, right beside the zocalo, town square , market places , two minutes walk from the Robert Brady Museum, the cathedrals , it's all one big square . I found this place on trip advisor and I'll gladly recommend , give some pointers and even come back . It's even more beautiful at night when they have lights in all the trees and candles lit up everywhere . It will convert the Un-romantics ! Don't forget to tip the waiters , i noticed nobody was doing that . They are ever so attentive without being intrusive and they all speak some level of English. If you buy a bottle of wine outside the hotel, they will open it for you at the bar . PS- I looked at other hotels on trip advisor and getting here Iv seen two other ones I looked at . I'm glad I picked this place . Take a trip to Tepoztlan to see the mountains of you have time .The hotel will call you a cab that will wait for you for 3 hours and bring you back . We paid 600 pesos. It's a magical experience.

On the day of travel, we boarded the shuttle for the transport to the Hacienda. It is actually located 35 minutes south of Cuernavaca in Amacuzac, Morelos. The Hacienda was a sugar cane plantation and it still grows sugar cane as evidenced from the canes in the fields on this large property. But the main part of Hacienda is beautiful from the rooms, swimming pools, restaurant and the grounds. Our friends had a pre-wedding reception party at the bar/pool area for the guests. The next day, the wedding was held in a large lawn area that was beautifully set-up. After the wedding the guests walked to the waterfall area for the reception. Then we all proceeded to the restaurant for the dinner/reception. It was a beautiful wedding event at the Hacienda all around. For amenities, we did horseback riding, which was an hour ride guide by a vaquero, though the Hacienda property. You can swim, play tennis, go to the spa and play billiards. The restaurant offers a breakfast buffet and a set menu at the patio area. There was free wi-fi, but it was limited to the area around the hotel office and restaurant. Due to the stone walls, you cannot pick-up wi-fi from your room. Wished there were routers in the rooms. It was nice experience being in a lovely Hacienda. Beautiful grounds and friendly service.
