By no means is this a 5 star hotel. At least not anymore. That's life…read more First, the customer service was mid at best. Then everything went downhill from there. So here's a list: 1-I've never had a 2 coffee pod limit per day at any hotel but here it was stated and enforced, rude! 2-The room was dark and all the light switches were falling apart. 3-Not enough towels, por que?! The amount of water outside of the shower was not contained by the bath mat, so much for saving the planet. 4-The toilet barely flushed. In our New Yorker spirit, we removed the top and played with the chain, and left it topless, leading to a better flushing experience. *The only highlight was that the bed was comfy and thankfully clean. I wouldn't recommend this hotel but maybe it was just our luck so beware of room 11. The coconut ceviche though! One of the best things that I have ever eaten. Go upstairs and eat that. I'd go back just for it and a massage around the block, that was heavenly at RADIANZA Studio, divino. Grounding at the labyrinth was nice.

The bathroom was huge and I appreciate the separate wash closets from the shower and sink area. Towels were super fluffy and plush and I love that they provide washcloths and a makeup removal towel. The views were pretty and the breakfast options were delicious. It definitely gives wellness vibes and I didnt know about the sound bowl healing every afternoon, disappointed we missed that. The location couldnt be more perfect. The square is a 7 min walk and across the way, we enjoyed the best steakhouse dinner. All in all, if I return to Puebla, I will definitely book Cartesiano again.

The prices are reasonable but that is for me. I thought the restaurants around town are fairly cheap at around 25 US dollars for two with one or two drinks each. The hotel is more like 35 US dollars for same.

Also note that they do not have a refrigerator. So you'll have to cool your drinks some other way if you want to. My only real complaint is the design of the lobby. In order to get to the lobby you have to take an elevator to get there. After that you take an elevator to get to your room. This poses a traffic problem as there are only 2 elevators and sometimes the wait can be very long! I decided to climb the stairs from the lobby to my room on the 6th floor and it was not fun. Still a good and clean hotel nonetheless :)
