My hometown is very tiny, so there are not many places to eat. The Gasthaus of this hotel is a nice little restaurant. My family always gathers here when we visit. They have several specialties based on the time of year (different fish, herbs, mushrooms, etc...) They don't really have anything without meat besides salad and veggies. When I come though, they always make me my favorite German dish: Pfifferlinge sauce with German dumplings. So delicious. Pfifferling are mushrooms that only grow in certain areas and certain times of the year (I tend to always be in Germany when they are in season). Everyone that works here is super friendly and some of them can tell me stories about my grandparents which is really awesome.
Plus they have all sorts of awesome alcoholic beverages (It's Germany-so, duh). read more
