The hotel itself is okey! Not dirty or shabby in anyway, but its really badly isolated and noisy. You do hear a fart between the rooms. read more

So we asked for a change and were happily assigned another (smaller) room. Unfortunately the air conditioning did not work. In the third room, the shower leaked so badly that every wash up became a disaster. So for a lovely property, and one where the staff seem particularly efficient and friendly, the engineering department needs to step up its game.

The marina across the main road makes for a lovely stroll in the evenings. Even the happening Marmarela and Ocean Race Museum is just 10 minute walk away. Smartly designed rooms with old world architectural accents throughout juxtaposed with modern practicality and efficiency. Exemplary hospitality staff who go out of their way to care well for you. Stunning view of the "face of the moor" castle from the rooftop pool and bar.

However, the room was uninviting - the furniture was crappy, the decor was boring, the elevator was one of those annoying types that you have to pass your key over the sensor several times or it might forget what floor you want. The breakfast was fine, but nothing to write home about. And they had a nice big bathtub so I had a lovely soak. The view from the 26th floor restaurant was indeed nice, so yay for that! Plus it's close to the main drag. But I personally, I will certainly spend €150+ per night much more thoughtfully next time I'm in Alicante.

It wasn't that much more money and the wrap around balcony with views of the castle, beach, and harbor made it sooo worth it. Sadly, our "king" bed was two unattached adjacent twins. Otherwise, the room was sufficiently large, clean, and modern. The elevators are perhaps the opposite: old, slow, and sometimes broken. Unfortunately the restaurant/bar on the top floor is kinda sad, which is really a missed opportunity given the views, so we opted to just enjoy our balcony instead. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the beach (there aren't really beach front hotels in Alicante, so it's one of the closest). The hotel doesn't have beach towels but you can buy one for 7-8 euro at a market or on the boardwalk. It's also right in the center of the restaurants and shops; Alicante is pretty small and very walkable. Note that parking is not on site. If you're lucky, you can swoop in out front to unload and then move about 8 blocks up to the San Cristobal garage, for which the hotel has a slight discount.

I'll explain: The location is not great. It is in front of the cargo harbor and the surroundings are dead. It is disconnected from the city and there is not even a cafe around. There are not Ubers coming here most of the time. Believe it or not, the check in "starts" at 3 pm. I wrote them in advance requesting them to be sensitive to the fact that I was traveling transcontinentally, but, even though they confirmed that the hotel had available rooms when I arrived in the morning, there was no way for them to avoid making me wait untill late afternoon to get access to my room.: In a totally unusual manner, they start giving rooms almost at dinner time. Very insensitive, not-making-sense-at-all and unlike the way any serious hotel deals with check in time. When I finally got my room, the bathroom had drainage issues and the whole room had an awful sewage smell, that did not go at any time during the two days I stayed there. Quite unpleasant. On top of that, the room is poorly designed. The bathroom has no door, so that, if you share the room with someone else, one is waken up by the light of the bathroom being used by the other person, in the middle of the night (can you believe no one thought about something as basic as this during the design process?). Overall: I would not recommend to use this hotel. This city has tons of good hotels, no need to come to the not-great one.

Easy walk into the city centre. Underground car park is a bit bijou if you're trying to park a rental car. (Don't hire a big one, for goodness sake - or make sure it comes with rear view cameras.) Definitely recommended. (Wifi and minibar is free if you're a Marriott Elite member in an exec room. We had to remind them, but all got sorted out easily.)

The Airport Bus C6 (€ 3,85 per ride) stops not far from the Hotel (5-10 min walking distance), so no need to get a Taxi. The staff at reception was very nice and helpful - ask for a city map and directions to the next bus stop if you want to get into town. Buses run frequently and a single trip costs only 1,45€. Lines 1 and 2 go to the city center. Bus Services run only to 22:30, after that it's easiest to just take a Taxi for 7-8€. Our room was nice and spacious, so was the bathroom. The Hotel has a Fitness Center, Wellness (sauna & jacuzzi) and a small pool on the roof that can be used for free. Breakfast is really good with some local specialities, fresh juices, cereals, ham & cheeses, fresh bread rolls & toast, croissants & other sweet pastries and fresh fruit. You can order various egg dishes from the waiters. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent Hotel!…read more From the moment you check in, you already know this is going to be a great hotel. The rooms are fantastic! Super clean, Spotless! With breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The front desk always willing to help. The Room Service always asking if everything is good. The breakfast buffet was honestly one of the best I have seen in years. Endless options, fresh squeezed orange juice and excellent coffee. The second day they already had my coffee (as I preferred the day before) ready before I even ask for it. Usually you just find this service at 5 star hotels like Four Seasons or Ritz where they have a system to track guests preferences between locations/stays. I went for business 4 days, and after eating at 4 different high end restaurants, I can assure you that the hotel restaurant was the best one of all of them. Also, the Spa was really nice. Highly recommended!! We will come back soon.
