Our room and bathroom were both nice, and I really liked that the toilet was in a separate room from the shower and sink area. The breakfast buffet was also excellent -- a huge selection with plenty of options. There is a parking garage right at the hotel, which made having a car very convenient. My biggest disappointment was that there was no A/C in the room. I understand that air conditioning isn't as common in this area, but if there isn't going to be A/C, I really think a fan should at least be provided in the room. That would have made sleeping much more comfortable. Overall, though, this is a beautiful, clean hotel with fantastic staff, a great breakfast, and very convenient parking. We really enjoyed our stay aside from the lack of A/C. Pet friendly: Dogs are welcome at Hotel EDELWEISS Berchtesgaden, which is another great plus when traveling with pets!

When we…read morearrived at our room there were robes (to include a cute robe for a child) along with slippers to wear to their spa services and/or pool/hot tub. I thought it was a nice touch. We also had free sparkling water. We had a king bed and sofa sleeper. While the bed was comfortable, the sofa sleeper was not. If you have a third person see if there are any other options available. This was the only downside to our stay. The bathroom was separated into two areas- a room with the toilet and the other with the shower/tub. We had a small balcony with views of the Bavarian Alps. It was at the front of the hotel. Now onto what we loved the most: There was an indoor pool on the top floor. It wasn't warm but it wasn't cold. We had it completely to ourselves on both days. It also has great views. Note: On one end of the pool is a button where you can turn on the jets for a lap pool option. Our favorite though was the huge outdoor rooftop hot tub. This is where you really want to go. One evening there was 7 of us in there with plenty of space left. The views of the mountains from this hot tub were probably some of the best views I've ever had. We had the hot tub to ourselves one evening. I question if half the guests knew about the pool and hot tub as apparently the hotel was fully booked but it was a ghost town up there. I will say it is tricky to find. The elevator does not take you directly to it, rather you have to take the stairs and enter through the spa services area. Within walking distance are several restaurants, a convenience store and grocery store. Make note that everything in this area pretty much shuts down at 6 p.m. The only thing that is open past that time is an ice cream shop. I would absolutely return to this hotel in the future. I would try for a week's stay if possible as there is so much to do in the area.

We used a 3rd party booking service to book the room, but somehow the size of our party was lost in translation. The gentleman that checked us in didn't skip a beat and worked to accommodate the group including coming up to the room personally to put sheets on the pull out couch for us. Very comfortable and clean accommodations and a wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended when staying in Kitzbühel!

The room I stayed in, is the only one like it in the hotel. What sets the room apart is that it has a private balcony. Other than that, it was a lovely standard room. I was with an organized trip of travelers (65 total) and the staff prepared avery delicious American style Thanksgiving meal. It could not have been better. The remaining evening, 4 or 5 course meals, all delicious. The bartender at the hotel bar was phenomenal. She worked hard. Everybody on the staff was always very friendly and willing to help. The wet spa was great, and I allowed myself to be talked into jumping in the ice cold pool. That was an experience. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you.

Located at the bottom of a hill, we parked up top and walked down. We wanted to sit outside because you get to view the mountains, which is breathtaking. Unfortunately everyone else had that same idea and the porch was full. Not to be deterred, we sat inside, which still had a pretty view of the mountains. We ordered some sausages and schnitzel, which we shared. For dessert, we shared the banana bread pudding, which was delightful. The not negative was that afterwards, we had to hike back up a very steep hill to our car, which was not fun to do on a full stomach. Overall, had a really lovely experience and we would definitely eat here again.

Plenty of outdoor seating that offer spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. They offer a pool and sauna as a fallback option in case your outdoor plans get rained out. If you are traveling with a group of people, they have two apartments that are separate from the main hotel. The apartments offer kitchen, separate bedrooms, and spacious common areas. Maybe this is something all of the hotels offer, but in addition to our rooms we were given free local bus passes. The passes are unlimited and makes visiting local attractions like the Eagles Nest, Königssee Lake District, Jenner Bahn, and other local towns a breeze. The only drawback is location. Only a five minute walk from the train station but a hilly 20 minute walk from the main part of town.
