Just returned from this horrendous place. The brochure describes it as" friendly family run". Family run yes ,friendly definitely NOT. Alarm bells should have rung when the driver of the coach trip stated we should smile a lot at the owner A stern looking woman who constantly looked like she was " chewing on a wasp".In 5 days she never smiled, never said thank you and constantly cursed at us as she reluctantly served us food and drink . I think it had slipped her mindWE HAD PAYED FOR IT ".It was 38 degrees C , when we arrived no A\C. never mind a cold drink would suffice, ice was rationed to two cubes per drink.!!!!! rooms were basic but clean. Would benefit from some new towels. Every one was looking forward to the evening meal ,having German relatives I had experienced home cooked German food "THIS WAS NOT GERMAN FOOD . THIS WAS A TAKE ON ENGLISH DONE BADLY.Over the 5 days the soup changed colour but the taste was nondescript., the main courses were so full of salt I did fear I would go into Renal failure and with the lack of fresh fruit and vegetables,Scurvy was imminent. The last night sounded promising with a BBbaQ ,rain stopped play and we had to eat indoors this night was spoilt by the fact we could not have the doors .open as the Floor would get wet.. OBVIOUSLY NEVER HEARD OF MOP AND BUCKETS..so guests were suffering in intense heat the driver sat reading a book it couldnt have been a guide book as he was as informative as a STONE..;.. Would I go on another trip??? not in this lifetime read more
