We arrived on Monday afternoon, even though no room was ready for us. The personal on the front desk called the house keeping but nobody answered their calls.
I had ordered separate beds, instead we got a single bed. I will figure this lack of communication out with my booking portal. The room was clearly for on person, indicated by the number of towels and hangers. We had to ask for a separate single blanket.
Tuesday we returned from out sightseeings so early that our room was not cleaned, I catched up with a guy from the housekeeping to get new towels at least.
Wednesday I noticed that the single blanket was full of staines.
Thursday, again we came back too early for the housekeeping to clean up the room. Even though 3 house maides where around on our floor and we left again, nobody cleaned up our room. We asked for a new towel, our wish was noted at the front desk. Nothing happend, so we helped ourselves by getting a towel from the ironing room.
As this hotel is really great for sightseeing and all museum around open between 9.30 and 10 cleaning could start earlier. Perhaps, like in other hotels, a sign "please clean up my room" would help to find out, which guests are already off to start the process.
One star for the great location, everything you want to see as a tourist can be reached by foot.
Another star for the great breakfast, continental and classic British breakfast, always fresh. read more
