The Inn was full our whole stay, which is good for them, of course. The owners were too much in your face, when all we wanted was quiet time away from chaos at home. The social hour was just OK and for around 16 guests, the appetizers were very minimal (crackers and hummus). They did away with the evening sweets, although you still get a chocolate at turn down service. This was our 4th stay here and yet they were not aware we had stayed before. Breakfast was yogurt every morning, you better love that for 4 mornings, along with a main dish which was cold, every morning. I am not a fan of cold eggs and cold plastic looking cheese on top of everything. Options would have helped, like no cheese. They asked if all was OK, but I am not going to be put on the spot in front of a room full of people who are ooogling over everything they are offered. I would have loved a piece of toast instead of yogurt offered, but they didn't give you that option. Disappointed and will not stay here again. By the way, since they renovated the rates have climbed up. Some paint, change of decor in areas, a wet bar, and a fence were the changes made. Our room was the hideaway. Winding staircase and then a short steep stair case to the room. The bathroom is nice with a large walk in shower, seems like the water is at the end of the line to this room as everyday was low pressure and hard to get hot water. We were able to take showers later in the evening after dinner times. Tried to one morning around 6:30 to 7am, but after letting the water run for 20 minutes it was still cold and dripping out of the shower head. We inquired about it and was told the road works are to blame, later we asked a guest if they had problems with the water and they had no issues. Location is awesome! Owners are nice, staff are nice and shoot you a smile, but we will stay elsewhere, because we can't take out a loan just to stay here as well as all the issues we've mentioned.

The home is a gorgeous southern estate. Exceptionally clean! The breakfast gourmet meal is the best I have ever had! Our host was extremely attentive and friendly. She found my lost earring and mailed it to me after we left! Service with heart and commitment. You will love and remember your stay at Caroline's! Caroline's is about 20 minutes from historic Charleston, and we were able to enjoy a haunted carriage ride one evening. Laura's Italian restaurant in Summerville is amazing and authentic! It turned out to be an excellent decision. We were pretty worn out after nearly nine hours on the road. The initial check-in experience was quick and efficient. The room itself was large and exceptionally clean. Our bathroom was oversized, so comparing it for a general review wouldn't help most guests. However, the bathroom was modernized and clean. Each amenity on the list was in the room: fridge, microwave, etc. Again, everything was clean and neat. The only room improvement to note would be the provided seating. It wasn't the most comfortable chair I've sat in. In a room with a king bed, it might be helpful to add more comfortable seating for two, possibly a love seat sofa. The first thing we noticed when pulling into this Econo Lodge parking lot was the spectacular array of flowers, planters, and hanging baskets. Clearly, the owners take extra care to enhance and maintain the visual appearance of their business. Very pretty! There was no advertising that this location offered an extensive hot breakfast, but the small eating area and items provided were sufficient and, like the room, clean. Of note, this is not a fancy, "high-priced" overnight accommodation. If you're looking for a lot of overpriced bells and whistles, you might be disappointed. However, if you want a budget-friendly, exceptionally clean place to lay your head for a night or two, you will not be disappointed at the Econo Lodge in Walterboro, SC. I would 100% stay there again!

Hotel staff basically insinuated I was lying, even after seeing the insects in person. Manager was never available to address my concerns and refund my charges despite 3 attempts at speaking with him.

Advise customers to always check your receipts and bank account. I extended my stay for two extra…read morenights and was charged incorrectly. The front desk claimed I only paid for one night, even though my bank showed a $528 charge and the Hilton Honors app showed both nights. I had to stand there proving the charges while my special-needs son was upstairs alone. The manager admitted it was their mistake and promised a $267 refund. It's now March 10, my stay cleared March 6, and I still have not received the refund. I even have a letter confirming it. Very frustrating experience. Double-check your charges if you stay here.

I ask for a late checkout and they are happy to do it. Free breakfast isn't stale bagels but a full southern layout with biscuits and gravy, sausage and a pancake maker. Room was clean and comfy and the bed was fantastic.
