After my tour ended in Paris, I planned on staying in Paris for an extra week.
This hotel was booked with my independent (travel at leisure) tour with Trafalgar.
This hotel is located in the 15th arrondisement, a non touristy area with apartments, local stores, and markets in the area.
How do I say this delicately? This hotel is adequate, very basic! No bells or whistles.
When I first arrived, the lobby smelled so bad, later I found out it's the reception's body odor that permeated the area.
The elevator is tiny! You and your luggage will barely fit inside. The room however is clean, with a small closet and safe, bathroom is basic.
My bed was 2 twin beds pushed together to create a "queen size" bed.
I stayed here during the spring so the weather was cooperative. However, not sure about summer since there is no AC!
The staff here is small, local, and very nice.
Breakfast is basic: cereal, milk, juice, croissants, jam, cafe, and soft boiled egg.
Free wifi.
I was a bit dissappointed and startled when I first arrived at this hotel knowing that I have to stay here 7 days with the independent tour, after checking out of my modern hotel near the Arc Square.
If your looking for a hotel that provides very basic needs, i.e. a place to sleep, cost saving, no view, free wifi, and basic amenities, this may be your style. read more
