Alright now--hotel talk, because where you lay your head matters. And this one? Quietly understood…read morethe assignment. Yelp says 3.5 stars, and respectfully... I'm not sure who they were staying with, because my experience was a solid 5 out of 5. No debate. From the moment I pulled up, I was impressed. The exterior was clean, well-kept, and inviting--already a good sign. Then I walked inside and oh my goodness... the smell. Fresh. Clean. Comforting. The kind of scent that makes your shoulders drop like, okay, I can exhale here. I even said out loud to Mercedes, "It smells really good in here," because when something hits, it hits. The lobby? Clean, polished, welcoming. And y'all already know--if it doesn't pass the cleanliness and smell test, I'm mentally checking out. This place passed with flying colors. They're currently doing renovations on the first floor, so guests were placed on the second floor and up. I stayed on the second floor, and it was quiet, comfortable, and exactly what I needed. No chaos, no weird smells, no mystery noises. Peace. This will absolutely be a go-to hotel for me. Honestly, I could see myself booking a weekend here just to chill and explore. There are so many little shops in the area, which is dangerous for someone with... let's call them aspirational spending habits. But worth it. Now let's talk breakfast. The continental breakfast was giving continental breakfast--nothing fancy, nothing offensive. It was good. Would I have loved the food to be kept a little hotter? Sure. But let's be real--it's included. "Free." (Yes, we know we paid for it in the stay, but still.) Bottom line: * Clean? * Smells amazing? * Comfortable and welcoming? * Great location? If you're staying in Addison, do yourself a favor and check them out. This one feels like home--in the best way.

Great, safe location! Typical rooms and setting for Hyatt House. Long story short, we had to look for a different place the same night we got to our airbnb due to multiple issues. I was excited to see I have enough points to book at this location. The area is our favorite, being so close to bunch of restaurants and things to do. Upon checking in, we got upgraded from a 1 bedroom to 2 bedrooms free of charge. They also waived our parking fee for booking with points (either pay fully with points or half points half cash works too) Our room overlooking the pool, which didnt make much of a difference since it was too cold for anyone to be in the pool. The room was clean, but outdated. Seems like it's a typical issues with Hyatt House where the kitchens don't get much attention from the housekeepers. We barely had 1 or 2 silverwares each for a 2 bedrooms that supposed to accomodate 6 people. Wasn't a big issue, but it just go to show how little they care. Overall, if we are back in the area, we wouldn't mind staying here again.

We've…read morestayed at many different types of Hyatt hotels around the world - Park Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, you name it. Unfortunately, this Hyatt House location was by far the worst Hyatt experience we've ever had. Room Issues When we first checked in, we were assigned a room that was missing cookware. We unpacked and got settled, then tried to connect to Wi-Fi, but it wasn't working. We assumed it was just a temporary glitch, so we went out to dinner and returned later - only to find it still wasn't functioning. Even worse, the in-room phones didn't work either. We had to use our cell phones to call the front desk, and that's when we learned the entire building we were in had no Wi-Fi. Why assign a guest to a room without basic amenities, especially when the hotel wasn't fully booked? We were eventually switched to another room in a different building. It was on the 2nd floor, and the staircase had a wobbly first and last step, which felt unsafe. The new room itself was in rough shape. The TV in the bedroom didn't work, the bathroom door wouldn't close fully, the water pressure was almost nonexistent, and there was no hairdryer. Amenities and Service Breakfast was a disappointment. They had a DIY waffle machine, but the waffle tasted like cardboard. The potatoes were soggy and the eggs tasted like sponge. When I went to the front desk to request a hairdryer and body lotion, I was told they didn't have any there but would send a hairdryer to the room. It never arrived. Noise Levels This hotel is close to an airport, and you'll definitely hear the airplane noise throughout your stay. TLDR: This Hyatt House location was an unfortunate miss on multiple fronts. I would not recommend it, especially if you are expecting the quality typically associated with the Hyatt brand. Save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere.

The manager even found a way to get the pool open for us to use, before we left! That level of service makes a huge difference when you're away from home for nearly two weeks. The room was very spacious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower had outstanding water pressure (which deserves extra points after long workdays ). Breakfast was delicious every single morning with a limited variety but excellent quality -- definitely something I looked forward to daily. Comfortable, clean, welcoming, and consistently well run. I would absolutely recommend Marriott Addison to anyone traveling for business or leisure, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Complimentary Starbucks coffee is my fav part of staying here and they offer a dark roast so they get bonus points for this. Plus the breakfast items from the bistro are surprisingly tasty. However the bistro is also often unattended and when it is attended they are distractingly chatty behind the counter to the point that I found it difficult to enjoy my coffee and food from the dining area. Room rates greatly vary, so check the price before booking because there are other options in the area.

The door was kinda jacked up so the hotel was showing its age for sure. Maybe that's why it's called the Renaissance. I also had packages delivered to me and every time I checked with the hotel staff, they said they were with the "show" staff. They didn't even check, they just said "the stuff will be delivered at XXXX time". Well, the event was starting and I still didn't have my stuff so finally I found a guy that would listen and he tracked it down. But do disappointed for the rest of the hotel staff to not even try to help. It was within walking distance of a plaza that had some places to eat, but being on a Frontage road (gotta love Texas), some things that seem close are so far. But definitely try to go to Kenny's Woodfire Grill if you stay here. I wouldn't choose to stay here again if I was in the area, but the convenience of being in the same hotel as a conference trumps the other issues.
