They have that old-school sweet shop look about them too and you can shovel your favourite sweets into paper bags from the most extensive pick and mix selection I've ever seen. Its also a great place to go to get those last minute gifts you forget about. they have sweetie gift sets made up, and some hampers, all at reasonable prices. these are usually seasonable so for example, at halloween, you can find little sets with halloween sweets and the same at christmas. It may be quite a small store, but the vast array of different kinds of sweets more than makes up for the cramped surroundings. the staff are really friendly and know everything there is to know about their sweets. which is ideal if you are buying fro someone with allergies.

Hotel Chocolate is quite a high end brand in the chocolate world. This store is a decent size, but due to the inclusion of a cafe in a space which I wouldn't say is large, the store does feel cramped at times and makes me wonder why they have put a cafe in this store when the overall floor space just isn't big enough. Service here, I sadly found to be poor unlike other branches of Hotel Chocolat I have visited, up and down the country in the likes of Manchester and Newcastle. The store layout also was quite confusing and seemed to slightly curve, it felt like a maverick shape which one might find in a complicated Mathematics GCSE question which didn't make the shopping experience any better. Confusing and poor layout with a slightly lower range of products than other branches, and the layout of the store doesn't cope very well when the store is busy, makes me feel disappointed with this store, while also considering other factors including the service, I sadly feel Hotel Chocolat in Liverpool deserves a single one star rating.

We got two ice cream sundaes and cappuccinos and sat outside in warm sunshine. As we are at the start of our two month 'nice to know ya' tour we loaded up on chocolate. We'll visit hotel places that we've been before in the South of France, Andorra and Spain to say thanks for the memories, as I'm afraid out best before dates are running out but it couid be worse it could be our use before dates instead. We've never had a bucket let alone a bucket list but what we do have is a book it list. As an example of hope over experience I've booked a 40 day Caribbean holiday to start the first week in January 2027. I do have all year round travel insurance though as that's sensible. It's approaching dusk in Vatican City and as I write still no fumata bianca. It'll be habemus papam by Saturday and hopefully not a bloody Italian.

The service here was lacking, especially compared to other stores which was a shame, based on past experience, more recently at a branch in Newcastle, and the Manchester Market Street branch, I've been impressed with the service and friendly staff, they were engaged and wanted to help the customer, offering samples etc and talking about products, sadly this was not the case here. The product range was fine, and basically pretty typical of the Hotel Chocolat brand, which is a premium chocolate brand which sells chocolates with a sort of twist, such as a chocolate infused iced tea, which I have not tried yet, having been put off by the price and the unusual nature of the product, and the fact I don't see them sell that many either in any of their stores. As mentioned, the location is okay in the Designer Outlet, yet slightly out of place, perhaps it would be better in the "shops" part, away from the Outlet stores, the service also is poor, yet the overall feel of the store is okay to warrant a two-star rating.

The staff were friendly enough, I had to ask an employee on the shop floor for the price of an item, as some items strangely did have tags missing, meaning there was no obvious price on the item, nor on the shelf. 3* - A nice store and a decent addition to Cheshire Oaks, the layout could be better, the pricing could be more deserving of the "Outlet" name, but overall a nice enough store.

Oh yeah.. and it's nestled amongst over 140 other top name discount outlets! I loved visiting this shop as a kid as it meant you got loads more chocolate for your pocket money! It's only a small shop, but it stocks plenty of treats, including big bags of miss shapes and broken chocolate bars for around three quid! Another offer that they do is 500g of mini eggs for 1.99! It's great at Xmas or Easter to stock up on selection boxes and Easter eggs! Don't take the kids there at the start of the day if you want them to keep still whilst you're dragging them round the rest if the mall!

It is very colourful in appearance and has all the qualities to drag a child in! There is one member of staff at the till to keep an eye out for those naughty ones trying to sneak a toffee or two in their mouths so I wouldn't advise! Sweets are quite reasonable in price compared to pick 'n' mix shops in touristy areas like the Albert Dock and the popular Odeon Cinema, so my best advice is to come here instead and bag yourself a treat.

I shouldn't? Okay. Its loads cheaper than the pick and mix at the cinema so stock up here if you're planning a visit to the nearby Odeon. They also sell canned and bottled of soft drinks but these are more difficult to sneak in your jacket pocket, unless you buy a huge overcoat but that might be expensive which defeats the point of buying your sweets here in the first place. So just pile in a load of your favourite sweets; jelly beans, space pencils. Oh right, the lists thing again. Sorry. Well let's just say they have more choice than you can shake a bouzouki at!
