Egerkingen is about 1 hour by train from the airport. I had a very late check-in but the girl at…read morethe front desk was very courteous.The room was small but OK by Swiss standard. The pillows and the sheet had a very strong smell of smoke! My mistake was that I didn't ask for a non-smoking room but the smell was terrible.
There are 2 on-site restaurants and a bar, which is open until 1am. They offer 3 types of breakfast - express, continental and buffet. The buffet breakfast is excellent.
