Had the lunch special there today. I had the burger and fries. Patty was cooked well but just a tad dry, but not too bad. But it was on a lovely brioche bun. Great service. Would go back read more

What we loved about this place, is that it's overall quiet, great atmosphere, great friendly staff,…read morein a room that I don't think has been renovated since the 70's. Large servings on the plate. My chicken schnitzel Parma could've been a better cut of meat but, they at least have a selection of toppings and they should branch out even more. The barramundi dish was very generous. We got given 2 large fillets and it was made GF.

I am an American traveler from the United States. I had booked my hotel stay at Gateway on Monash…read moreBoutique Hotel through www.agoda.com. My plan was to stay there on February 22-29. But I had an unpleasant experience at the hotel and only stayed for one night due to unwelcoming service here. I had ordered some food through Doordash. When my phone notified me that my food arrived at the hotel, I went downstairs and asked the hotel manager David Cordier about my meal by clearly telling him my name and my room number. His behavior and attitude towards me was very unpleasant and rather rude. Finally the cook of the hotel came down to help resolve the situation letting me know my food was dropped off outside the door of my room. This whole situation made me feel very uncomfortable staying at this hotel. I've never felt so embarrassed and humiliated my whole life. Plus the hotel conditions itself which I found weren't fitting for me. I had emailed the hotel about my decision to leave and requested to get my money back. A gentleman by the name of Mike who was one of the front desk staff told me he communicated with Agoda and has confirmed that I will receive my refund for next cancelled nights February 24-28th I will not be at the hotel. Then I found out from Agoda that the hotel manager has refused to refund me my money. I was basically lied to. Which is not ok. The only nice thing I experienced at the hotel was the kind cook and the food but other than that thumbs down. I am still in process of getting my money back. These people are thieves!

This Hotel is surprisingly nice. The rooms are spacious and modern, and the beds are very comfy. The bathrooms are clean and light. It really is a nice little base if you need somewhere in the Eastern Suburbs. You also have pinewood shopping centre near by which has lots of food options, and the cinema. The hotel does have a restaurant, but I have not tried it at all.

Yeah, it is literally across the road from the railway station, so I guess it is handy in that sense, especially if you want to jump off the train on your way home for a beer. Then again, it really isn't one of those pubs that I would really consider doing that with anyway. Yeah, it really wasn't a favourite, and now that I have been here, I probably not need to return.

Ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley
If you're looking for a place to stay in the Glen Waverley area, Hotel Ibis is one of your options…read more It isn't the cheapest, it isn't the best, but it's also not the most expensive and not the worst. It isn't somewhere I'd recommend for a romantic weekend for two, either. What it is good for is for family who visit and who won't be stuck at the hotel, or if you have business in the area and you're from out of town. Really, it's in a good location for dining. There are literally dozens of good restaurants in the vicinity including Vietnamese, Chinese, Malaysian, Italian, Japanese, et cetera, et cetera. The rooms themselves are fairly comfortable, pretty standard Accor hotels stuff, really. You'll be comfortable, you'll probably get a decent sleep, and the service is decent. When I have family or friends visiting and don't have room for them, this is one place I've booked before and will book again. For this, it's important for it to be clean and comfy, and it definitely ticks those boxes.
