Four different dishes were ordered and all of us were very pleased. I had the Wagyu burger and was really surprised at just how good it was. Tasty topping and a good flavoured burger combined with the big chips was perfect.

The food is great, and is definitely a few notches above your standard 'pub grub'. The ribs with BBQ sauce are brilliant as they are slow cooked, the meat is super tender and just falls off the bone. On the current menu there is also an Asian inspired pork belly salad which is delicious, with just the right combination of sweet and sour flavours. The chefs here seem to have a good handle on how to cook a steak - when you order it rare for example, that's exactly how it arrive, something that seems to be a bit hit and miss at many other pubs I frequent. The meals are a little on the pricey side, but are good quality produce and serving sizes are more than sufficient. Aside from great food, and being open 7 days a week, the service is always great. All of the waiters are very friendly and attentive, but in particular, it's always a pleasure to be greeted by the smiling face of the waiter Nikki, who goes out of her way to ensure that guests are made welcome and that they have a pleasant dining experience. Be warned - the restaurant is often booked out, even on weeknights, so it's strongly recommended to book ahead. The only other downside is that often the specials sell out very early in the day/night, but there are plenty of other menu options to choose from.

We had a small ant problem and bought some spray. Upon spraying the ants literally thousands (if not millions) of ants fell from the cracks between the cupboard and wall. We tried going to reception but noone was there so had to sleep in a filthy room. In the morning I went to the front desk to let them know we needed someone to look at it. The assistant manager told me the cleaners were done for today and that we should "sweep it up ourselves". She became argumentative and told me she doesn't like my attitude. I felt being in a filthy room ants between the walls warranted behind upset about. Fire the assistant manager. Otherwise the facilities were good for kids. It has a large jumping balloon, pool and BBQ area. The kids loved the kids club every morning and the staff member who runs that is absolutely amazing!

While it does carry the name club don't let that fool you - you don't need to be a member to walk in through the door (or even buy a beer) here, unlike some places that I have encountered in the city. It's actually a pretty large place, and while it has the ubiquitous pokies room, there are enough parts of the pub where you can sit and not be disturbed by it. It also has a couple of beer gardens, and a pretty large bistro as well. However it is a bit out of the way, but probably a nice place if you happen to live in the area.

After the service in the chapel on site, photographs were taken in the garden while guests retired to the bar. All this was on site. At the reception, the food was excellent, the arrangements went smoothly, and we had many favourable comments from guests about how enjoyable the reception was. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and Julia and Dearna made every effort to ensure the event went well. The accommodation was very satisfactory and our request for an early breakfast next day for 15 at 8:00 AM was met without difficulty. Because of guests coming from interstate we needed a number of cots and highchairs and these were available where and when we needed them.
