I explained it was our 25th wedding anniversary and if they had any rooms that were better than the others could they please place us in the best they have. That is exactly what she did! She upgraded us to a room that had a Jacuzzi in the room! I didn't even know they had these! Sarah is one of the most hospitable and sweetest people you will ever meet. She treated us like family. I won't go anywhere else. I love this hotel. The manager David is awesome also. He's very friendly and of course he's the one that okayed us to have the room with the jacuzzi in it. We were so happy and we had the most wonderful time there. Not only are they the friendliest staff, it's a very clean hotel and they serve a great hot complimentary breakfast too. To top it off they are the most reasonably priced hotel in Seabrook! You've got to try it. You'll love it! Thank you to all of you who helped make our stay so special! Y'all are simply the best! She was even a little rude. The hotel has such a strong scent of mold throughout. My husband is handicapped, so we asked for a ground floor room. I walked into the room and immediately could hardly breathe. It was a hard NO. The clerk was quite irritated and said that's why she asked if I had any pets. If I did have a dog, I would not allow them to sleep in the room or want them to even touch the floor. Imagine if it smells that bad for me, their lungs are closer to it. I've stayed at plenty of hotels that do not stink this badly and accept pets! Why are people with pets given such a below standards room at all? I'm sure this hotel would fail an inspection very easily! She moved our room to the 2nd floor room, which was directly about the same room as was on the 1st floor. Just as bad, in the smell. Every time we have ever stayed at a Hilton, we always are allowed 2 free bottles of water. She would not allow us even 1. I guess other hotels are just nicer to us. No decaf tea was available either. We did not sleep well at all!!! The beds are much firmer, pillows were uncomfortable. I could not recommend this hotel to anyone as we don't believe it's a healthy environment for you, your pets or children to sleep in overnight, at all. The PLUS part of this stay, was only the breakfast! There was a nice breakfast in a quaint little dining area. Some of the tables were run down but the lady serving breakfast was sweet, the coffee was delightful and we could watch the news while we had our breakfast. The price was not worth the stay overall and it was a disappointment to know this was a Hilton standard location. We will not stay at this location again.

General: We stayed with our kids when I was at a work conference in Houston in early June 2024…read more Location - Decent location right in the middle of Seabrook and the NASA complex. You are a short drive from the beach (private pay to enter) and the public entertainment pier. You are right next to Clear Lake which offers great views of the marina and has a nice walking trail. There are a couple restaurants right next door and you are a short drive from a shopping center and other places to eat. We had a car so we drove to many local cafes and restaurants in neighboring cities but you could get to some decent places by just walking. Rooms & Building - Rooms are standard Hampton Inn rooms with a touch of modern décor. They were clean and comfortable for our family of five. The hotel itself has the standard Hampton Inn modern design with bright bold colors, abstract art, and dark wooden furniture with tiled floors. Amenities - There is a good sized outdoor pool on the side of the building which is a must when you are staying in Houston because it gets HOT! The pool was a welcomed reprieve from the hot morning and mid-day sun. It was for the most part kept clean and the pool area had a good amount of seating. There is also a huge seating area in the breakfast lounge that makes eating lunch or hanging out when you want some time away from your room a good choice. There is also an office area and laundry facilities for a fee. Food - There is a free breakfast buffet offered at this location. The breakfast layout is your standard waffle bar layout. Hot options include eggs, potatoes, breakfast meat and waffles. Continental options are available too such as yogurt, cereal, breakfast breads, fruit, etc. The breakfast options also rotate each day. We stayed for a week, could of used a little more variety but we also didn't have to resort to eating the same thing each day, enough choice to go around. Vibe - Easy going and friendly staff. The front desk lady said hi to my kids every day and learned their names by the end of the week. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. Price & Final Verdict - I paid about $120 a night and stayed at this location for a week - it made this trip very affordable for us. Not a bad place vs. price, especially compared to other options in the area and still being located so close to the Trinity Bay, NASA facilities, and Houston area.

If they are going to have an outlet to plug in maybe provide more than 1 as the entire week I was there it was a battle with the others to get the spot or hope that a non ev wouldn't take the spot. Then there's the social nights mon-wed that is advertised till 7 but if you don't show up right at 5:30 and you decide to get there at 6-6:30 then you are left with scraps. I wouldn't advertise till 7 and just say starting at 5:30 till it's gone. That way people won't get upset great staff poorly and get snippy with those that were brought up in the wild. I'm not making this up 2 nights I witnessed people be rude to staff for not making enough and someone take multiple plates for later and one for now and guests getting smart with each other. I will say staff was great and always happy. At least the few I dealt with. Now the best part is they have designated dog areas to walk but don't offer bags so either the guests are slobs and leave the pets waste or it's because the bags aren't available either way they should have someone picking things up if guests aren't. This leads me to the lack of yard maintenance the grass was never cut leading to the search for the yard bombs. I stepped in twice unfortunately and then twisted my ankle due to a hidden hole from overgrown grass. Overall it was a 3.8 for me

Such a beautifully decorated home with every touch carefully planned and thought out. It's super clean everywhere! Beautifully landscaped outside of house over looking the water. We caught the end of summer fireworks our first night. We had a perfect view right from the porch. After catching dinner down the road it was a perfect way to end our evening. We stayed in bay breeze room. The bed was the most comfortable bed. Very relaxing and comfortable room. It has a beautiful bathroom with a chandelier. And a jacuzzi tub that comfortably fits two. Equipped with ample amount of towels. It has everything. The facility as a whole was just amazing. The porch with seating and even a floating bed. The outdoor seating area and fire pit was so nicely set up. We even enjoyed the pool which was very nice and private. Very clean as well. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the sun porch, but it looked very comfortable. It has snacks, water, coffee and tea. And even an ice machine which we loved! The hosts are amazing. I even booked my visit last minute Ava they were able to accommodate everything. Very personable and kind people. They really know what they are doing when it comes to running a bnb. Breakfast was out of this world. With coffee, fresh juice. More than I expected. The first day was an amazing hash brown crusted casserole. Day two was an amazing blueberry French toast bake. The facility is on the water. It is near restaurants and anything else you could need. Both nights we enjoyed Tookie's seafood. The coconut shrimp was great! We stopped at Rose's seafood to bring fresh shrimp home! Also a great experience. We'd love to come back again. My wife and I left refreshed and rested. Which is exactly what we were looking for! I can't say I've ever found such rest as I've found here at The Pelican's Nest Bed & Breakfast!

It was built in the early 1900s and moved from its original location to its current one where it is now a B&B. Despite its age, the home has been updated fabulously. It still has the feel of a historic home but with modern (and high quality) features. It was beautiful and incredibly well maintained. The owners clearly take pride in taking care of their home and their attention to detail was apparent throughout our stay. Whether sitting outdoors by the water, lounging on the swinging patio bed or hanging out in the spacious and tastefully decorated room, there were plenty of places to relax and enjoy the property's beauty. The breakfasts were beyond delicious and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They even prepared us a delicious treat to celebrate our anniversary!! We prefer B&Bs to hotels and this was definitely the best of all we have ever visited. There are plenty quality restaurants extremely close by and it's a few minutes drive from the Kemah Boardwalk. We will most assuredly return!!

No biggie though, we ran over to Rose's seafood to pick up some fresh fish and shrimp. We got back and it just took FOREVER to get our keys because a large group was also checking in. We finally got to our room (room 135) and I instantly loved the setup. Separate toilet and small sink with a separate sink and shower! I wish all hotels had this setup. No more waiting on someone to finish their business on the toilet to get a shower! Everything was clean. However, there was mold on the ceiling of both the toilet and shower areas! The towel rack in the toilet area was also falling off the wall. After we got back to our room on Saturday night, neither of our key cards worked, so we had to go to the front desk to get them programmed again. The guy was not all that friendly, but I'm not sure if I would be either with the amount of people that checked in. He told us that the keys are sensitive. So don't put them near a phone or a credit card. Mine was in my wallet, but not touching any cards. They really should update this system. At 8:30 this morning, some of the kids that checked in when we did were being loud in the hallway. I mean this in the nicest way, but Parents/Guardians/Chaperones, remind your kids/teens that they are not the only ones that exist and to be respectful of people sleeping in their rooms. That is just hotel courtesy. Breakfast was provided, but we didn't go to that because we wanted to hit one of our favorite spots, Seabrook Classic Cafe. Overall, I would stay here again but not for an extended stay as I have an allergy to mold.

The service staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs upon arrival. They do not have housekeeping service until the 3rd day of the stay. You can get whatever you need but must get it at the front desk. On the third day we did not get full housekeeping service and had to get the front desk to request it. So wrong, they don't discount you for anything and don't want to clean the rooms and change the sheets. They do not have a free continental breakfast or anything else free for that matter. Maybe water near the entrance next to the big TV. No happy hour or specials which surprised me. They have the Bistro that served reasonably priced foods but not really a restaurant and the food wasn't worth it. Our bartender here on the first day was wonderful and attentive. We had a total of 7 great drinks and snacks. On our second night we ordered the pepperoni flatbread with 2 drinks and the service was terrible. The flatbread was barely warm and the bartender didn't care for the customers. She stayed behind the bar the whole time drinking coffee or would disappear. Her drinks were weak and $37 for two drinks and flatbread with terrible service. Very disappointed with this. A nice group gathers in the evening and the Marriott makes a boat load on the drinks. It stayed busy nightly while we were there but did notice that some guests were bringing their own drinks in. Maybe because of the terrible service from the young bartender. So to recap; Check in clerk was great. The bartender on our first night took care of both the guests and the kitchen so there was a lot of running around for her. The drinks were very reasonably priced too on the first night and made very tasty. Well worth the price for mixed drinks compared to local businesses around the area. Didn't get to enjoy the pool as they only have an outdoor pool and it was cool and cloudy throughout our stay. There is plenty of parking available and very well lit area. Not worth staying here during off season because almost everything is closed. Only bars and restaurants might be open in this area, not including nearby. I think this is a nice area to stay in but only during the summer or when events are being held and everything is open. We did get to meet great people visiting the area. Four stars only because the rooms were good and the entrance was clean, and for our experienced bartender on our first night of our stay because everything else went downhill after that. The checkout clerk was rude, looked like she had just woken up and got upset because I requested a printed copy of my receipt. She told me I would receive an emailed copy but I insisted I wanted a printed copy. I don't think I'll be staying at this place again especially for the price and attitude of these employees who ruined it.
