I've stayed here a few times - prior to a cruise for the evening and last visit was for a soccer game at NRG Stadium. Great stay! Front desk is wonderful and super kind. Quiet and tucked away from the Main Street and very quiet. Rooms are clean and ample space. One stay had a nicely, newly renovated shower, 2nd stay not a shower, rather a tub/shower. Def preferred the standing shower. Close to the boardwalk and food options as well as a park, Walmart, gyms, and dock. Simple but great continental breakfast too! Will definitely stay here again. read more

We had a one night stay here to join my son for his birthday dinner. We arrived at 4pm and found our room was not ready. Would be an additional 15 minutes. No biggie though, we ran over to Rose's seafood to pick up some fresh fish and shrimp. We got back and it just took FOREVER to get our keys because a large group was also checking in. We finally got to our room (room 135) and I instantly loved the setup. Separate toilet and small sink with a separate sink and shower! I wish all hotels had this setup. No more waiting on someone to finish their business on the toilet to get a shower! Everything was clean. However, there was mold on the ceiling of both the toilet and shower areas! The towel rack in the toilet area was also falling off the wall. After we got back to our room on Saturday night, neither of our key cards worked, so we had to go to the front desk to get them programmed again. The guy was not all that friendly, but I'm not sure if I would be either with the amount of people that checked in. He told us that the keys are sensitive. So don't put them near a phone or a credit card. Mine was in my wallet, but not touching any cards. They really should update this system. At 8:30 this morning, some of the kids that checked in when we did were being loud in the hallway. I mean this in the nicest way, but Parents/Guardians/Chaperones, remind your kids/teens that they are not the only ones that exist and to be respectful of people sleeping in their rooms. That is just hotel courtesy. Breakfast was provided, but we didn't go to that because we wanted to hit one of our favorite spots, Seabrook Classic Cafe. Overall, I would stay here again but not for an extended stay as I have an allergy to mold. read more

~ EXTREME CAUTION ADVISED ~ This place ripped off me and my wife. We had to go to Seabrook due to my mother being diagnosed with terminal cancer. We were informed she had weeks to a few months. We couldn't afford the trip and were able to fly using points. We chose Springfield do to close proximity and reserved a room for 4 days. I checked out this morning and was told all was good, only to find, once our flight arrived back home, that this hotel had added a couple hundred in bogus fees and up charges. They literally stole from us via the deposit on our credit card. In (4) days staying here, not once did housekeeping clean the room, change towels, empty trash, replenish coffee or related staples. This is the absolute worst hotel stay we have ever had. So very disappointed for overall service and outraged that they stole our deposit. Room 313 - 8/22 - 8/25 I strongly advise the management contact me ASAP - white collar thieves. read more

We checked in following Hurricane Beryl - they were at capacity and checked us in efficiently while fielding constant phone and walk-ins seeking any room available. Our room was ready on time, clean and in good order. We live nearby and were seeking power, A/C and internet, but for anyone visiting, a great location. Short drive across the bridge to Kemah, a few miles from Space Center Houston and even multiple shopping and restaurant options at Baybrook Mall. The suite layout is nice, with the wc even having its own sink - great for a family! Comfortable West Elm furnishings, sitting area and desk very functional. It is a trundle set up of two twins vs double or queen, so better for kids I'd guess. Common areas clean, breakfast was the norm for Marriott hotels at this level, but even after the storm and wide-spread loss of power, they were able to provide yogurt, surprisingly good scrambled eggs and bacon, selection of cereals, oatmeal with 'fixin's', muffins, bagels, fresh fruit and the all-star Texas shaped waffles! And lots of coffee! Coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave in the room. We couldn't find the safe, so if important to you, call and inquire first. Their Upgraded Internet wasn't an option / functioning, but am sure that can be addressed, in our circumstances, we were happy to have ANYTHING Won't hesitate to come again or recommend to friends and neighbors. read more

Courtney checked us in and later we saw him at the bar serving drinks so we decided to sit down and have a few to relax. His personality is infectious and a joy to be around, he answered all my questions and made it a point to be really personable and I felt at home, I will definitely be coming back to visit soon, hopefully he will be there to greet us again!!! Springhill Suites Marriott is convenient to NASA Space Center and Kemah Boardwalk. It offers easy access to everywhere we wanted to be. The hotel staff is friendly and the accommodations are great. Everything was clean and to our liking when we arrived. The rooms are contemporary and newly remodeled. I loved the separation of the toilet with sink and the shower/bathtub with sink with the sliding glass barn doors. It was pretty quiet so I don't think anyone occupied the rooms next to us. The pool area was small but expected. There is also a bar downstairs in lobby. Definitely check it out! read more

Nice hotel in the south Houston area. A few miles off I 45 between Houston and Galveston is the Springhill Suites. This is a clean well maintained hotel. Very nice grounds and landscaping make for an attractive outside apperance. If your looking to go to the Kemah Boardwalk or The Houston Space Center this location is ideal. This is a family friendly hotel with larger than usual rooms and a outside pool. Comfortable beds and a contienal breakfast made this hotel an excellent and enjoyable weekend stay. read more

I stayed here four nights. Normally Springhill Suites don't remind me of Holiday Inn Expresses, but this one ... not so much. It's seen better days. That being said, it's serviceable more or less. My main gripe is the breakfast. No one goes running to Springhill waxing rhapsodic about their breakfasts in general. But, this one - Lordy. The scrambled eggs were beyond awful. They were so salty that my eyes started watering and I had to spit them out. If I had thrown them outside, nothing would grow there for years. On day two, thinking it must've just been some surreptitious prank, I tried them again. I got two bites in this time after I realized that my tastebuds may have been scarred by the previous day's trauma. Because I am ever hopeful in the inevitability of progress, I tried them again on day three. Oh, Jeezus lord, those chickens must've been raised by Lot's wife. Who does that? I realize this is Texas where gourmet means meat with sugar water dyed red, but come on. I don't own stock in Arm and Hammer, but this place is keeping them in business. Scrambled eggs are not...that...hard, people. I don't know what you have to do...get a new supplier of bagged fake eggs, or remind the person making them that their clientele does not consist exclusively of COVID survivors without a sense of taste, or explain that I didn't consent to needing a safe word just to have breakfast. This wouldn't be such an unmitigated tragedy if I weren't diabetic. It's not like I can just have one of the fancy plastic-wrapped-for-your-dining-protection amorphous croissant things, as tempting as they are. So, I went looking for the ubiquitously weird pre-peeled hard boiled eggs that normally come piled in a bowl and sitting in vaguely threatening gray water. I can usually stomach those. It took a while to find them because they were stored in the fridge, each individually placed in a small plastic lidded container. It seems that in Texas, they've reached full employment be keeping the staff busy putting peeled pre fab eggs into little plastic cups. It was just weird. Well, weirder than normal. I could go on about the pork sausage patties that had the texture of little greasy meat sponges, or the bacon mound that looked like a ... um .. mound. If you say it over enough times, the word 'mound' starts to feel sinister and friendly, much like Dolores Umbridge. Mounds of bacon would bring happiness to many if they weren't so creepy looking. But, I digress. The bacon was edible much in the way Dolores Umbridge is not. Anyway, I'll hit Starbucks tomorrow. At least my first world problems are more easily disguised by their slightly less distressing bacon egg bites. If you have a mouth with a working tongue, stay at a different Marriott. read more

Stayed in this hotel which is very close to Nasa and the Kemah boardwalk. Location is great! The room was spacious but the sheets provided did not fit the pullout bed. The shower and toilet areas are separate which is nice but there was mold on the ceiling in the toilet area. There was a mini fridge that needed a good cleaning too. The shampoo and conditioner and body wash containers in the shower were empty. The hotel seems rundown. The front desk personnel were friendly. read more

I booked this place last minute after an issue with an Airbnb. I'm a gold Marriott member and have stayed in Marriotts across the entire country. This had to be one of the worst. The only saving grace for this place is that the staff seemed to really be trying. We got to our room and there was gum smeared on the wall, toilet seats were all the way up, trash cans had no bags and there was hair and some sticky looking liquid all over them. I called the front desk to ask if this is commitment to clean and to please remove the gum. I also asked for the extra blankets that were requested upon booking thru the app that weren't in my room upon arrival at 9pm. I had to call again around 1030 due to another room arguing incredibly loud and someone crying. It went on for hours. The staff did try to intervene, but it was a sleepless night after 9 hours of traveling with a kid in tow. Next day we were out most of the day, came back and there was still gum on the wall. Called about it agin and no one showed up to clean. Next day I finally just emailed Marriott. No one cleaned the gum or anything else for 3 days while we were there. The breakfast was severely lacking. Prepackaged blueberry muffins, green bananas (only fruit offered and only for one day), hard boiled eggs, gross burned tasting coffee, nothing healthy. I expected more from a hotel in an open state (as a month prior we were in Vegas and they prepared waffles and the entire breakfast as you ordered so there is zero excuse as to why this place couldn't do the same or offer better). The night before leaving I did a load of laundry in their ancient equipment. Cost $2 for wash, $2 for drying and $2 for detergent and dryer sheets. The washer fit one grocery bag of clothes, the dryer ate my money and my clothes weren't dry when the timer went off and all my clothes smelled horrid, so they weren't able to be used for the rest of my trip. I would never recommend this place ever. The manager did email me an apology and put some points back to my account. I spent 50,000 points for this stay and they gave me 5,000 back as a sorry, which to me, doesn't cut it. Thanks for not even giving me back at least a full nights amount of points for an absolute joke of a hotel. Could at least refund enough for one night. This is not Marriott standards! read more

ROACHES!!!! We stayed at the hotel on April 15th to celebrate my 30th birthday and came back that night to discover two roaches. So you know what that means! There's obviously an infestation at this location. I have an auto immune deficiency and explained this to the manager Terry. She didn't seem to take that into consideration much but to just offer us a refund. In addition we rushed to leave the room not realizing we left behind our phone chargers. We have receipts of having to replace these items and not asking for a refund for the housekeeper to return the phone chargers. If the room was cleaned the next morning these items would have been noticeable had the house keeper cleaned and vacuumed like she was suppose to. But I wouldn't doubt she cleaned as needed since we discovered roaches. I will also be reporting this to the health department. read more

If I could give this a zero star I would. This has to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The pool was gross, the elevator didn't work (we were on the third floor), the room was pretty sketchy, the front desk had horrible service, and the lobby breakfast area was dirty. Rooms were nice, traveled with a group and our friends room had a dead roach in it. Housekeeping came, fixed the beds but did not pick up the bathroom roach. Went to the front desk and were told that her hands were tied because we booked through priceline. We didn't want any refund, just someone to pick up the nasty roach. Her hands were tied so my friends husband did it. Not a big deal but its the principle of the matter. Awful customer service. WILL NOT BOOK THERE AGAIN. We usually stay at Marriott or Hilton hotels, and this time we had to stay at one of Marriott's acquisitions, SpringHill Suites, by NASA, for roughly the same cost as a standard Marriott. Pros: the hotel was clean (inside and out), the front desk team polite and professional. The kitchen crew did a great job keeping up with the large breakfast crowds. Very pleased with overall staff performance, room was tidy, with abundant plugins on desk. Cons: walking into room which was very hot and smelled of stinky armpits, thin uninsulated walls allow sounds to permeate your privacy from outside and hallway, the sliding door for bathroom shower was broken and off track and couldn't be closed, freezer potion of refrigerator so frosted over the door to it couldn't be opened (we were offered another room but were too exhausted to move). Only saw one small elevator to use for all three floors of guests. Breakfast: was hot but heavily pre-salted eggs (could be hazardous for those concerned about high blood pressure). Overall, the quality of stay does not justify the price of stay, nor does it meet the high standards we've come to expect of a Marriott hotel. Opinion: Deflate the cost and equate it to the quality to find a realistic competitive price-point. read more

Stayed there for two nights with my two teenagers for a mini family getaway. I am a travel agent so decided to check the area out because we have never been to the area. When we arrived to the hotel the staff was very welcoming and checking was fairly quick. They were sold out of double queens when I made the reservation so we got a King bed with couch that converts into a bed with a trundle. That room can sleep up to 4 people. The room was clean and had plenty of towels and soap. I am also a hairstylist so I loved the fact that they had Paul Mitchell products, definitely a win! Lol The complimentary breakfast was good. They had scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee bar, juice, milk, cereal bar and also a waffle maker with pre-mixed batter available for use. They have a mini bar that they open occasionally in the evenings and also have a happy hour for those who'd like to enjoy a drink for a fee. I only saw it used on Friday evening before we headed out to sight see. If you are looking for dinner in the area, all of the restaurants seem to close around 10pm and it's a 10-15 minute drive to the nearest fast food places. Other than the local bars that stayed open until 2am on weekends. The space station is literally like less than 15 minutes from hotel. They had one pool which was outdoor. It was very small and heavily chlorinated but was very busy the whole time we were there, the clerk said that it's "peak season" so they were pretty booked. The parking wasn't too bad either. I would give it 3 out of 5 stars because of the outdoor pool and the size of pool. The business center was out of order but they do have a great and comfy seating area in lobby and outside in front of building. The staff maintained the cleanliness considering how busy they were. I will say there's not too much to do in the local area other than the space station. It's about 25-35 minutes (depending on traffic, which is really bad in Houston and Galveston) to Houston or Galveston or about 10-15 minutes to Kemah Boardwalk which was pretty cool to walk around and look around. The areas were all pretty congested everywhere we decided to go around actual Seabrook so be prepared to sit in some traffic to go sight see or get around. In my opinion, there seemed to be more adult activities in the Seabrook area. If you're looking for an adult getaway or on business, I can say that I definitely recommend this SpringHill Suites location. read more

We spent a long weekend in the bay area of Houston and chose to stay at this location. We were amazingly surprised at how great this facility was! It was a great location, great staff and a very comfortable and enjoyable facility. Located close to Houston Space Center, Kemnah Boardwalk and a variety of great local restaurants as well as the larger chains this hotel is in a great location. There is a Dinner, Drive-in and Drive within three miles; and Galveston is just about 30 minutes away. The facility is just a year old and has been well taken care of. It is slightly off the beaten path so it is quite and relaxing. The room we had was great with a separate sitting area in addition to the two queen beds. Separate toilet room and bath room. The shower was great and everyone in our family is wanting to replace our showers at home. The breakfasts were good and the staff was continually making fresh items to add to the breakfast bar so that things did not dry out or get old. There is a full bar in the evenings, a great workout center and an outdoor pool for the summer months. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back read more

Hospitable staff! Beds were comfy. The shower drain wasn't working well so it was more of a tub shower situation. The ceiling in the bathroom was dripping water. Stayed here for a 3 day weekend. Moved rooms every night. There was a technical problem in each room. No hot water, and beeping that kept everyone awake. On last night, the desk clerk, Felicia, was so rude to our friends we almost left. We were visiting with some out of town friends in the sitting area of the lobby and she told us if we did leave by 11pm that the Seabrook police would escort us off the property! There were 6 adults catching up, not booming party. The next clerk apologized but wow. We have stayed here many times and had a nice time. Bring back the old management! read more

We stayed here this weekend and had to go to three separate rooms. The first room had no hot water..... The second room was right by the elevator and it got noisy at 5 am....finally the third was ok... Next, we were told that we were not allowed to stay in the lobby with a small quiet group of six people after 10 o'clock... To the point where the staff threatened to call the police... We stay here frequently--but it Seems that they have declined... All of this is completely true and undeniable. read more

Pros: Nice location, comfortable bed, nice size rooms, girl in the front was nice. That's about it. Cons: was redirected here from Courtyard Marriot after a mixup in my reservation. When we arrived, the card reader machine would not accept mine nor my girlfriends credit card. We had to leave, go to an atm and return with cash. The hotel, especially the hallways, smells like moldy old Bananas. The elevator and floors were covered in water from kids going up and down from the pool. They had only one person it seemed on staff. Our door to our restroom was broke when we got to the room. Also, we paid almost $200 for 1 night in this hotel. It was definitely not worth it! I will never stay in a Marriot hotel again as long as I have other options. read more

Attended a dinner meeting at this location. The facility was very clean. The food was good and hot once served. The room was comfortable in temperature and size. The lobby is really nice, it gives a great under the sea feel as you walk in. A bar available right when you walk in is a nice welcome too! If I have an event in Seabrook I will definetly consider this hotel to host. read more

Stayed here on the weekend while working an event at nearby Kemah Boardwalk. The property seems new and is very clean. Staff were friendly and professional. We were very comfortable here. It's just what you'd expect from a SpringHill Suites. The shower was especially nice, with a rain shower head and additional sprays from the side. Breakfast was hectic but handled well by staff. Some items are starting to show wear (over the last few years- carpet, grout, etc) and breakfast is pretty basic. Rooms spacious and clean. Cleaning staff and breakfast staff friendly and nice. Night auditor and others not friendly, not kind, unprofessional. Management allowed a very loud obnoxious group to over run the hotel for 3 days and nights. Many guests complained about this incredulous group. The police showed up more than once due to the group antics and one taken to jail. Management took no action even though they would scream through the hallways at night for hours on end, and then drink all day in the lobby and patio still being very loud. About 10-30 of them. Very bad stay. Usually have good experience with Marriott. Management just not doing there job. Also, breakfast lady very nice but food was absolutely awful. read more

I am a Marriot rewards member and I was staying at the courtyard marriot just up the road from this Hotel. As a father of a four month old baby girl we stopped at the springhill suites to change and feed our little girl using the lobby bathroom and lobby space. The lobby was empty and this was around 11 o'clock in the morning. We were informed by the manager we could not use the LOBBY bathroom as we were not guests there and could not use thier lobby to feed our baby. The manager then proceeded to call the police and told them we were intoxicated which was not true, when the Seabrook police arrived they were extremely helpful and friendly allowing us to feed our baby and commiserating with our disapproval of the manager who then locked us out when we tried to get her name to report her to Marriot. I will never stay here again as we have before and travel to seabrook often. The courtyard marriot just up the road was extremely open and helpful, they had actually extended the use of thier lobby to a community event going on nearby. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any organization who claims to be professionals in hospitality. read more

Stayed here for New Year's Eve with my family and am very satisfied with our rooms. They were very clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were given an appetizer coupon to be used on the boardwalk so we got an $8 appetizer for free at Landry's. The location is very close to the boardwalk. We were told that breakfast would be over at 930am, but when we arrived at 9 there was no more eggs and sausage. They also started closing down around 915am. read more

I'm rating customer service based off of initial walk-in. The front-desk clerk is sitting behind the desk watching videos on her phone that the whole lobby can hear. She did not acknowledge me upon walking in, didn't even look up. I brush it off and go ahead and sit in the waiting area to wait for friends and there is a bartender in the small bar area. He is standing around snacking, sees me, but does not acknowledge me either. He gets a phone call on his cell phone and answers while behind the bar. I, of course, don't know their conversation but I can easily hear everything he is saying. He starts cursing to whoever he is on the phone with, things like f**k, and s**t. I'm not a prude, but really... I'm looking right at him. This is ridiculous, absolutely no customer service. I understand down time, but find something else more productive to do than sit and watch videos or have personal conversations on your cell phone in front of guests. read more

Big, comfortable room with a mini fridge and microwave, separate shower and toilet area and easy to get in and out of. Breakfast was free and stocked all morning. Felicia kept us entertained at the lobby bar the few nights we went down there. However, I would probably be upset if I was waiting for any front desk service as the front desk staff also staffs the bar and has to run back and forth. If you're staying in this area of town, you won't be disappointed. read more

The staff was great, every experience we had with them was nothing but positive from recommendations to assisting with our shortened stay. Can't say enough positive about the staff. We took a tip from another review about the breakfast, get there at least 45 min before breakfast ends or you might miss out. We got there an hour early and worked out great for us, but noticed a number of late arrivers that weren't as pleased. The only complaint was the bathrooms in the room themselves. Our room had two half bathrooms one with a sink and a toilet, the other with a sink and a shower. While nothing was wrong with them it was very odd. I'm guessing it was a design thing, but made the room feel a little disjointed. All the lights in the room were LED lights which was different, because of that the room lost a touch of homeyness.
