The bed was very comfortable, the products top-notch. The spa deserves a full review itself. The Thermal Club is adults only time, where you can spend a two hour block going between the sauna, the ice room, the steam room, and finally the shower rooms. Each shower is different. Then, after completing the circuits multiple times, proceed up to the fully glass-enclosed pool, where there are multiple different water features to pummel, massage, and relax you. Water beds, water jets, and water sprays make for a fun experience! We also spent several hours getting spa treatments, taking a thermal bath in the legendary healing waters of La Toja, getting massaged, wrapped, and facials. Afterwards, skin was so nice! This place is a destination in itself. Will worth the trip!

I had the opportunity to stay here for a 4 day work trip and enjoyed every minute of it. From the…read moredelicious breakfast, respectful and expedient staff, to the pool/sauna facilities; it truly was a retreat after work hours. I especially liked the in room nespresso, and automatic window shades; not something I expected. More importantly the room was quiet and the shades helped with the sun. My only complaint is the bed was quite firm and pillows not great. Although to be fair they have a pillow menu so had I not been lazy, that could have been alleviated. If included in your room package, you get 1 hour at the pool per day but it has to be scheduled. That I found quite counter intuitive to relaxation however I do appreciate that the pool and hot tubs were never busy as a result of the scheduling. The location is perfect of course and close to many things to do. My review may be quite biased as I wasn't footing the bill but the price really wasn't bad for a 5 star hotel; far less than many 3-4 star hotel in the states and I would pay it myself if I was looking for a relaxing hotel room.

The hotel is conveniently…read morelocated in the city center and has a spacious dining area, reliable elevators, efficient service and good-sized quiet rooms. Loved the breakfast buffet with the automatic coffee machine - those things are bomb. I had to try every option of the coffee drinks on offer from cappuccinos to cafe con leche. Try to get here on the early side as you'll obviously have more options. One of my favorite things was the membrillo con queso, quince paste with cheese. OMG. Dinner on the other hand, was standard. It wasn't memorable in the slightest and my friend and I opted to eat elsewhere despite dinner being included in our stay as part of our tour package. I would totally stay here again!

Having said that, the hotel could substantially improve its customer service by doing 3 things: 1. Make sure WiFi is working in the rooms. 2. Make sure the AC is working in all rooms. When it is 87 degrees outside and you are on the third floor with no AC, sleeping is not happening and guest are going to be miserable. 3. With the Camino bag drop being 8 am, and the breakfast not being open till 8 am, the log jam for breakfast is ridiculous. Open breakfast 30 min prior to avoid the long line and no sitting availability for all your guests. I would also add that it would be good to have someone at the front desk reception in the mornings. Service goes a long way.

It wasn't the stuffy, uncomfortable, and overly formal style of luxury - it was a perfect blend of making me feel spoiled yet also at home. The rooms were large with big windows, a well lit bathroom with great ceiling vent, huge showers with hot water and good pressure. The beds were comfortable and gave me a great night's rest after a day of travel. The city of Vigo is generally walkable and this hotel is near several shops and restaurants so it was a great location. We stayed here one night and then hit the Camino de Santiago the next morning. It was a perfect night's sleep before the start of our pilgrimage!

It may not sound like much but at this type of hotel you expect more! We've stayed at three NH Collection hotels in other countries and they were perfect. This one, not so much!!
