Hotel Arena, Goteborg, was my last stop on a long vacation. I had some reservations because there was not a lot of feedback about the hotel and the pictures of it, weren't convincing me this is where I wanted to stay. Once I found it (had a little trouble with that ~ it's much closer to the "Arena" then it looked on the map on my phone) and checked in, I was still suspect of what type of hotel it was, as the reception area was just a different set up then what I'm familiar with ~ more like a doctors office or other business that takes place in private sections of a building. I found the receptionist to be very very helpful and knowledgeable of the area ~ very helpful. The refreshment and snack area had many good options and food and beverage was available throughout the night. My room, two twin beds, was very nice, modern interior and the shower was bigger than most other places I stayed. I was very pleased with the room. Catching a taxi was no problem the evening of my stay and the following morning. If I return to Goteborg I will definitely stay at Hotel Arena again. I really felt the quality of stay exceeded my expectations. I also found their rates much more reasonable than other hotels in the area. read more
