An affordable hotel located five minutes away from the central station, this place is perfect for travelers who are looking for one or two night stay. I travel light when I go to Europe because hotel rooms are usually small. This hotel is no exception, so if you're hauling big luggages, it'll be a tight squeeze.
Our room had a full-size bed, but was comfortable. There's a small chair to throw my things on and a table that was situated in the corner. We had basic toiletries, free Wi-Fi, and a room facing the courtyard so it was quieter than the ones facing the street side. There are a lot of construction happening in this area because of the metro expansion. There was no issue with checking in, but the lady wasn't friendly either.
There is a breakfast buffet at their cafe on site, but there are several cafés and brunch spots within 10 to 15 minute walk at this hotel that are so much better.
Generally, you can count on getting a bit less than $200/night when staying at Hotel Ansgar. Summer prices are still inflated though. read more
