Not to mention it was really close to Torvehallerne Square, which is around an eight-minute walk from the hotel. I arrived early, before check-in, and the reception staff offered to hold my luggage so I could explore the city. They give you a code and place it in a locked and video-monitored closet down in the basement. It was easy to do and safe for your belongings. After some exploring, I returned to the hotel around 4 PM and finally checked in. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my single room had been upgraded to a larger room for free. I was stoked to hear that and loved the room and location they gave me. The room was beautifully furnished and was very clean! The only downside is the no AC. The temperature that day was in the low 60s (60-63 degrees). This may sound nice, but it was rather toasty in my room. They had a standing fan that, unfortunately, did not rotate, but it helped somewhat. They give you very heavy-duty duvets that are better for winter weather, but thankfully, I opened some of the windows in my room, which made it more bearable to sleep at night. The staff here was so friendly and accommodating. It's very close to plenty of sights, attractions, and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. It's a beautifully decorated hotel, with lovely rooms and an excellent location.

When we checked in, they said our room was ready, when we got there, there was a dirty coffee cup lol They do come and change your towels and tidy up daily if you want, but sometimes take your bathroom floor mat without replacing it. So come stop by, just to take a picture of the lights in the stairwell or I guess if you want to use the sauna (but let them know 30 mins to a hour in advance).

Each time, we have found the generally young staff members to be respectful and friendly, offering hospitality and responding quickly to requests. From my perspective, the "cons" of citizenM are room size, best for traveling alone or with a partner (in this case, my spouse) with whom you enjoy sharing very close quarters, and no coffee service in the room. The "pros" include outstanding location and view, very good climate and lighting control, very good breakfast buffet, and large dining area that doubles as a "living room" when you need it. The breakfast offered in the morning is refreshing: pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, cheeses, cereal, omlettes, bacon and other hot dishes. You can also have tea or choose from a bottomless cup of regular coffee or something from their coffee menu. The rooms are typical small European style, but the beds are very plush and uber comfy! The tubs are super deep and the pressure is fantastic. I certainly enjoyed a nice hot bubble bath with their solid brand toiletries after a long, chilly day in late fall. It was perfect! They have decent hair dryers in every room too. Check in and out was pretty easy, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the price was super reasonable for Denmark. There's a 7-11 just around the corner for anything you may have forgotten or any late night munchies you may have! They have Skyr! I would absolutely recommend a stay here for anyone, and certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when I'm in the area.

Unfortunately, beneath the trendy décor and carefully staged online photos lies a hotel that seems to have confused "hospitality" with "sleep deprivation experiment." THE BAD: A Masterclass in How Not to Let Guests Sleep Apparently, this hotel believes the true Copenhagen luxury experience is choosing between heatstroke and listening to strangers drink wine beneath your window until 11:00 PM. There is absolutely no air conditioning in the rooms--which, okay, understandable in Denmark. But what really elevates the experience is that they also provide no fans whatsoever. Your only option is to open the windows... which would almost make sense if management hadn't decided to host a nightly courtyard social club directly underneath guest rooms. My room faced the courtyard where guests were encouraged to sit, drink, laugh, and hold full-volume life discussions every night until 11 PM. With the windows open, it sounded like I had accidentally booked a bed inside the hotel bar. With the windows closed, the room became a beautifully sealed Scandinavian sauna. And before anyone says, "Surely the hotel offered a solution?" -- no. Staff were completely dismissive when I raised the issue. No effort to manage the noise, no room change, no fan, no concern. Just a polite version of "good luck." The fan situation deserves special recognition. The hotel website prominently features stylish rooms with decorative fans, giving the impression that cooling exists here in some form. In reality, asking the front desk for a fan was apparently equivalent to asking them for a private helicopter. They informed me they had exactly zero available. Attention to detail inside the rooms was equally impressive. I checked into a room with no towels at all. The next day housekeeping forgot to replace coffee supplies, creamer, and sugar. And because the room has no phone, every missing basic necessity requires getting dressed and walking downstairs to reception like you're on some sort of scavenger hunt. THE GOOD: Credit Where It's Due To be fair, the main bedroom area itself did generally match the online photos, and the lobby/common spaces are modern and attractive. If you happen to win the room lottery and avoid the courtyard side, your stay might actually be pleasant. THE REST: Breakfast: Perfectly average. Not terrible, not memorable. It exists, which after the rest of the experience felt like a victory. Bathroom: The bathroom was like stepping into a 1993 time capsule. The online photos show sleek modern bathrooms; mine featured aging pink subway tiles and a layout seemingly designed by someone who fundamentally misunderstood water. Shower runoff floods directly around the toilet, creating a charming "wet room meets college dorm" aesthetic. Whether you get a renovated bathroom or a museum exhibit appears to be entirely luck-based. Location: There are some decent restaurants nearby, which helps. Also worth mentioning: the hotel sits directly next to a strip club called "Lady Love," which certainly adds... character... to the neighborhood ambiance depending on what kind of vacation experience you were hoping for. Verdict: This hotel has mastered the art of looking stylish online while delivering an experience that feels wildly disconnected from the price point. If you get a quiet renovated room, you may leave wondering what all the complaints are about. WARM AND COZY! 5.0…read more There really isn't a word for it in English. The Danes call it hygge, pronounced "hoo-gah." It is best described as a feeling of coziness. It's the warmth one feels while sipping coffee or chatting with friends. It's the enjoyment of drinking wine while basking in the glow of candlelight. No wonder they are among the happiest people in the world. Here, at 25Hours... the feeling is hygge. Our February trip was centered around dining during Noma's Ocean Season. This was a huge bucket list item for us to check off... and we did. The Ocean Season included the month of February, when it was still cold. As they say, "There is no bad weather, just bad clothing." It was the tail end of winter, and the daytime temperatures were in the mid-40s. The skies were mostly clear, with a few scattered showers on a couple of days, and there was no wind chill to contend with. Coming from California, temperatures in the 40s are cold, but we came prepared. We wore layers, down jackets, and shearling-lined boots. The 25Hours building itself has a nearly 300-year history with various purposes, first serving as a Royal Tailor's Mansion before later housing the Faculties of Law and Theology as part of the University of Copenhagen. With every turn, the intrigue of this hotel abounds: the first elevator I had ever ridden in with a stool and table to resemble a café; colorful sitting areas with oversized pillow loungers; eclectic wallpaper; a vinyl record room; thoughtful writings on the walls; a room filled with typewriters; a sculpture made of books; a stunning full bar serving as the building's centerpiece; and even a vending machine stocked with adult products. It's quite the fun, visual playground for the senses. The location is perfect, too. It's close to luxury shopping, dining, and TorvehallerneKBH (the farmers' market), all within walking distance. We even strolled to Kongens Have (the King's Garden), Frederik's Church, Amalienborg, and the colorful Nyhavn. We also enjoyed having afternoon tea in Cafe Duse which is conveniently located in the hotel. Our room's floor was covered in beautiful herringbone hardwood flooring. One wall was black with chalk-like script depicting a map. The beautifully decorated room, with warm tones of soft reds, greens, and oranges, created such a cozy, restful environment. It was fun returning to our room to be greeted by the stuffed Viking toy on our bed, browsing through books on urban foraging and taxidermy, making a cup of in-room drip coffee using a glass beaker, looking through the Image3D Custom Retro Viewfinder, and feeling amused while using the room's rotary dial telephone. The most entertaining item in our room was the multi-message door hanger. Depending on our mood, we displayed messages such as, "I tried to decorate; it went terribly wrong," "It might not look like it, but it was fun," "Sometimes it's better not to know," "Remember the movie The Hangover? This is worse," and "This is the 25Hours Hotel. I need the extra hour." The hotel is fairly quiet, with few staff members walking around. However, we received everything we asked for, and check-in was pleasant thanks to the friendly staff. I loved staying here. It holds wonderful memories of our Copenhagen trip. The warmth and coziness embody the ideals of hygge. It's true, twenty-four hours in a day are never enough.

But we checked out early at substantial expense. You have a choice when sleeping. Heat or noise. The boat is adjacent to a heavily trafficked bridge and there is no air conditioning. Surprisingly, unlike other boats, it absorbs heat very well. So, even with outside temperatures in the 18-19C range the room will get up towards 27-28. Even being from a desert climate - that's not sleeping conditions. So for two nights we did the open everything to cool the room (the bathroom area has no windows and stays warm), then close to sleep. That works for a couple hours before things are too warm. Even with the windows closed you will hear heavy vehicles on the bridge - the low rumble isn't something that is easy to block. They do provide earplugs. I'm also hearing impaired and was woken up by sound multiple times during the night. The pillows also aren't. Literally, folded in half mine started to resemble a bath towel. The west side of the room (all the windows) has floor to ceiling blackout blinds. The east side has a window above the shower and in the door. There is no way to block that light coming from the east. Lastly, it is a nit, but when housekeeping they appear to have thrown out our luffa that was hanging in the shower. My wife agreed to a 10% discount against all three nights, meaning we paid for three and only stayed two and got an adjustment that covered the luffa and a token for the aggravation and literal lack of sleep. It's what she agreed to, but with a fully booked place they certainly should have done more. If you decide to stay, have dinner at Cafe Alma. Excellent. And bring your own pillow.

The highlight of the ship is the terrace, which would be a good place to chill or tan in a sunny day with a view of black diamond and so on. im also stunned by the big window in the room, where it shows a great sea view while it brightens the whole room up. the room has it simplicity design which i love it. ill defo tell someone to stay here hehe

Our corner room was one of many rooms with that waterfront view. We could see a bunch of residents sitting along the harbour in front of our window enjoying the sunshine. You honestly can't go wrong when choosing this location. There are a couple of different transportation options including the Metro and the Harbour water bus system. However, many of the well-known attractions are within walking distance. There are many restaurants, cafés, and bakeries near the hotel. I saved the best part for last. The breakfast buffet was the highlight. The cooked to order eggs were done perfectly every time. The fresh pastries were all popular local favorites. I especially loved the vanilla custard ones and the tebirkes with poppy seeds. The smoked salmon bites with dill cream cheese were delightful. We wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again whenever in Copenhagen. I just wish we could have stayed longer.
