I live in Washington, D.C. Therefore, I eat sushi.... And I mean I eat a lot of it. In fact, I eat a lot of sushi from very authentic and highly skilled restaurants. This restaurant was neither of any form of decent quality nor authentic. I mean for 12 euros per a person I can't complain too much. However, I was just completely floored at their poor service and poor food quality. I also found hair in their food and when I told the staff they were so rude towards me. This place is not worth your time!!! It's a big no no. I can't believe they have customers. I am thinking because the sushi presence in this city is so poor, they are able to stay afloat.

However, the Mongolian grill and the 'sushi' were absolute abysmal and unauthentic. While I understand the concept of a Mongolian grill is to 'choose your own ingredients and have the chef fry it up', this could prove disastrous if you pair the wrong food with the wrong sauce, which you can't even taste beforehand. Sure, trail and error goes a long way when experimenting cooking with food but I was too hungry to tolerate that. The ingredients were not good quality and the sauces were either bland or too sweet. It resembled nothing of the good quality Mongolian restaurants I used to visit in the U.S. and Japan. As for the 'sushi', well, being a native of Okinawa, Japan, I should have known not to eat the sushi at any buffet. I always set myself up for disappointment when I do. I'm open-minded to try new things and fushion foods but seriously, don't tweak the sushi rice and use cheap imitation crab. Although the ambience, interior, and atmosphere was somewhat pleasant, I'm giving this restaurant a one. The quality of the food is too low. I will not make a second trip.

This place in the morning seems to fill up fast with reservations, so we made sure we arrived a half hour after it opened. You come in, and basically seat yourself if you can find a table that is open. Menus should already be on the table, but ask if you need them. Again, learn some German and ask if the waiter or waitress can speak English. We were lucky that our waiter did speak English well enough to order. They do have English menus, but thanks to Google Translate, we ordered from the German one. Since I knew how to speak in German, I ordered for my husband an omelette with cheese and tomatoes, and I decided to try their homemade pancakes, which was actually a crepe with their "buffet" jam. The buffet was literally a shelf along the wall with all different kinds of homemade and store brand jams. Each was more spectacular than the next! Excellent choice for something different on the menu. My hubby's omelette was super yummy and flavorful. The service was not rushed in any way, and the vibe here is very relaxed and laid back. We could tell people were truly enjoying themselves and not rushing to go run off to do something else. If you don't have time to kill, this might not be your place.
