I looked at all the gyms in Helena before becoming a member at Crossroads. The facilities left a…read morelittle to be desired (lockers could be upgraded, some newer equipment - the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5), but the thing that sold me on this gym was the classes! Having always been a "free-weights" person, I never did classes before coming to Crossroads. Classes offered are: "Ripped", "Sports Fitness", Zumba, "Bodypump", Cardio kickboxing, "PiYo" and Cycle (spinning). ALL of the instructors are GREAT!, they like interacting with and getting to know the attendees, and the place feels like a family. No insane egos here, great mix of younger/older members, no "singles scene" type of attitude, nobody "camping out" on equipment, even the Carrol kids are serious about this being a gym. I have been a member for the past 10 months, and thanks to the staff and my classmates, I go at least 4 times a week. If you regularly attend classes, and miss a couple, someone will invariably ask you, "hey glad to see you're back, where have you been?" I love that about this gym. See you there!

I went to this gym for about 3 years during my time at Carroll and I loved it! The weight area was…read morenever packed and the classes were a great addition to my workouts. I loved the body attack and spin classes! I miss working out at this gym now that I am not at Carroll anymore. Anyone looking for a good ol family gym this is your sign to get a membership. This is a very welcoming gym; Alex (a coach) is great and helps with form on lifts and other exercises; Kadesha (probably spelled wrong) was a great coach too. Both were very eager to assist and made dropping in an easy and fun experience. Would definitely recommend this gym for a drop in of a full time membership if you're local to the Helena area.

Love this place!! A Veteran owned and operated wellness facility. The benefits of a dry or steam…read moresauna are well-documented from things like improved mood, improved stress resilience, better sleep, lower blood pressure, and weight loss! The benefits of an infrared sauna are even more amazing! Including healthier skin, improved detoxification, improved circulation, etc. When the infrared light of the sauna hits our skin the mitochondria or the battery of our cells are powered up which improves our energy naturally! I love coffee but caffeine before the sauna is not a good idea as it could raise blood pressure and cause you to feel faint. To make a long story short, come and check this place out, it has everything you need to support your mental health, your physical health, improve your sleep, and be a better human. Also, you will be hard-pressed to find better people the chat with before or after your sessions.

Nikki was the warmest welcome when i arrived at Thrive for my "Float" or Sensory Deprivation Tank…read moreTherapy session. This was my first and although nervous i was excited to reap the benefits of this unfamiliar therapy. The float allows for complete muscle relaxation and the perfect setting to silence your brain and still your body. Nikki guided me through what the 60 minute session would be like. A private room with a shower for a quick rinse off and in the tank I goes. For the complete deprivation experience I shut the internal lights and music off, followed by closing the lid of the human sized egg shaped tank. Laying back in about 16" of water saturated with salt keeps me completely afloat and the sensation of being weightless in space begins. My first thought was there's was no way i would be able to do 60 minutes of silence with my body and brain as active as it is. Suddenly i was laying there, my body completely relaxed, my head completely silent...peace, relaxation, thinking this must be the verge of tranquility. As quickly as it started the 60 minute session was done and i was feeling calm refreshed and relaxed. Thank you Thrive!! I'm ready for the massage chair and sauna session next!!

I had to share the gym with just one other person (my friend who I was visiting)! It was very clean and had practically all the equipment you could need to get massive gains. If you're not a member, hurry and sign up before this secret oasis is found by the people of Helena. By the way, there is an entirely separate yoga room that hits different. Love this place and can't wait to return!

I travel a lot for work and don't want to have to be locked in. The instruction was technical on the basics, which was honestly what I needed as it has been a long time since I have trained. The gym is located in a sub-level floor in the back of a building. I drove back and forth a couple of times trying to find it. The school was pretty clean and they had water there which was nice. From the looks of the school they want you to buy their uniform but two things: this is a personal assumption and not an abnormal practice for a martial arts school. Every one was pretty friendly and had a non competitive atmosphere that made training relaxing. I would recommend this gym to anyone traveling through or living in Helena. There is another school in town but their hours did not allow for me to train. I added a photo of the door. Thanks for letting me train. If I am in the area I will again. Oss!!!

We had already paid for another whole month but they were kind and refunded the month we couldn't attend. You are in good hands with the great people at Helena ATA Martial arts. The staff is very friendly and geared towards teaching kids not just martial arts but also discipline and self control, and not just at the studio, at home, and they give you papers to record your kids behavior and repeat back to the teachers. I thought it was very thorough and good for all involved.
