But I worked for a retail company that thought their products sold themselves for almost a decade. But I am a huge believer that great customer service is what really attracts the money. Today, my mom and I shopped here, we were the only customers in the whole store and no one helped us. At one time my mom was trying on one of the sample shoes and a red head girl asked, "those don't fit?" My mom responded, "unfortunately no." And the sales girl replied, "aw that's too bad." Do I need to say more? What a perfect opportunity for her to say, "oh well let me grab one in your size!" And that's even just the basics. There was about 4 employees in the store who could have easily made a sale from us. We looked at everything. We were ready to buy more than just the $18 sunglasses we got. But our interests soon expired since their interest in us didn't seem exist in the first place. Mason, I'm disappointed. I encourage the management to take a higher interest in the customer service of their employees. Customers need to feel not only welcomed, but wanted.

Since I'm a bit far to drive up just for a shopping spree, I emailed the company to inquire about the necklace. Liz emailed me back immediately to describe the situation: they were out of stock, but would try to see about getting the necklaces from another source for me. Not even a week later, she emailed again to let me know about new stock that had arrived, even sending pictures along. I asked her to set aside one in Teal and one in Salmon. She replied, asking me to call Cassandra at Masons' mall location, who would ship them out to me the same day so I wouldn't have to wait over the weekend. And when they arrived? They were paired with beautiful earrings that I wasn't expecting and even a personalized thank you note from Liz just for shopping with Masons. I love it! Extremely delightful people to work with and I'm so happy with both necklaces and earring sets. If I'm ever in the area, I'm definitely stopping to shop with them again!

Not to mention there is an entire Razorback STORE full of clear cross body bags and Razorback T-shirt's cute Razorback sweatshirts, and Razorback accessories! They have SO many sweaters for this crazy Arkansas weather. If you haven't been you should go!! Such a fun experience in Springdale!!

I am so excited that my favorite upscale thrift store Beautiful Lives has finally opened an outlet…read morestore! They have a great selection, kind employees, and suport wonderful causes. The only down side is the outlet is it is nothing like their other stores. They carry the items that did not meet their standards to sell in their upscale stores - so more Goodwill quality. Some items are very worn and have holes and stains. They have A LOT of merchandise -men's, women's, and kids along with books, toys, and housewares so you do have to do a lot of digging and browsing. Most items are sorted and hung but some are just in bins. I do wish they had carts or bags to shop with and fitting rooms. Even pop up fitting rooms like they use at events would be nice. The pricing is OK here, it is by weight which can get expensive. Kids toys are $1 a lb and books are only 50 cents a lb which is awesome! But clothes and shoes are $4 a lb which I think is quite high unfortunately for the quality of items. Both times I went with my kids I got a few items -a pair of jeans, a skirt, and 3 tops and it was $24! Not what I expected for sure since I pay that at their regular stores for nicer brands/items. However, they do have frequent sales and a rewards program so you can save money that way! It's definitely worth checking out and you are supporting a non profit and their local causes.

I am one of those ridiculous bargain shoppers who gets a thrill looking for the good deal. In this store there are definitely some amazing deals to be had for clothing, but there is a lot of work to get to it. This is where retail outlets send the absolute last things remaining, so you have to appreciate much of what ends up here has minor damage, or not so minor damage, or may have been miss-sized or made incorrectly or something to account for the fact it was sold for pennies on the dollar. But mixed in with all this damaged stuff are the jewels that you'll have to have a lot of time and patience to find. I recommend getting on their mailing list, as they will tell you when they have large events, and you get additional discounts on occasion. I have attended these events when they got a giant shipment of swimwear and have picked up swimwear in hard to find sizes for $3-4 a piece. I've gotten formal dresses for $10-15, nice brand shoes for $10-$20, name brand workout ware for $3-8, etc etc. My last trip through I got 2 French Connection brand sweaters that retail for $120 for $15 each. So if you are a person who finds thrill in the hunt, and has the time to hunt, come check this out and get on the mailing list. They always have trendy, high quality outfits, and their staff has always been incredibly helpful when I've had questions. Their in-store experience has always been top notch. I have never ordered online, so I can't speak to that experience. Riffraff also offers really adorable and trendy home goods as well. They have a lot of Arkansas (hooray!) and Texas (noooo!) goods and apparel so you can show off your home state pride. The reason I'm giving Riffraff four stars instead of five is that there is another business in Fayetteville with a similar aesthetic that offers more affordable options. The clothes at Riffraff are quality but a bit pricey.
