This was my first time visiting Hotpot 757. We tried before when they first opened, but the wait was too long. Now I understand why!!! The restaurant is very nice. Seating feels very comfy and I love all the floor lighting displays. So with this being my first time here, I didn't know what to expect. Luckily, we had great service from Melia who explained everything. Choices: hotpot, bbq, or both. Either way, you cook your own food. I chose just the hotpot since it was already late in the evening. So I selected all of the items that I wanted to cook in my pot, from meats, seafood, vegetables, and noodles. They bring it all out at once but....the best part is that I can continue to order for 2 hours, which I did! I'm sure there is a method to cooking the food, but I'm no chef! So I just put it in the pot, took it out when it seemed ready, and enjoyed! I chose the mushroom broth and it was so tasty! The food was very flavorful and they also have a bar with lots of sauces, kimchee, and fruit. 5 STARS! I loved it! Can't wait to go back. Hope I get Melia again. We've come here twice now for all you can eat hot pot. Each time, the service was fantastic and the quality of meat is amazing. The staff is so helpful and quick on cleaning plates, dropping off more food for you, and refilling your drinks. I attended a meeting here tonight with four other couples. But tonight is not my first time, neither is theirs. The last time I was here it was Christmas time and with decors and full of people. Tonight, the place is still lit up and gorgeous. Still lots of people even at 7pm on a Thursday night. They'll sit you when the whole group is all there. The host was so gracious and all smile. We had a reservation so our table is set when we got there and even though two were late they allowed us to come in with our reservation. We were in one of the private rooms so having that private room made our meeting fun, full of laughter and the story is limitless. The waiter Tara was so sweet. And the rest of the team were fast and efficient in bringing our food with smile. Our individual taste on soup were apparent and the meat and veggies were varied too. They did not disappoint. Veggies were fresh and crisp and the meat were visibly fresh and still frozen. We all enjoyed our soup and our bbq. One of us took grilling seriously and enjoyed doing it so most of us enjoyed just talking and eating. Time seem not to matter. Not to us nor to the waitress. So we stayed a little after 2 hours. Then another group of young maybe college students came and seen to enjoy themselves too. We were grateful for everyone that made our experience something we want to do again. And we will. The modern restaurant version involves tabletop burners, and an oft-spicy broth into which you can dunk and cook seemingly any ingredient under the sun. Arrive in a group, and order broadly among meats and greens and mushrooms and seafood, and your table will look like Thanksgiving, Christmas and the Lunar New Year all at the same time. I give this place 5 stars because you cannot really get this kind of good food anywhere near the area. I love hotpot and was finally able to find a restaurant with it. Hot Pot 757 offers a broad smorgasbord of pan-Asian flavor, doubling as both bubbling hot-pot spot and a meaty Korean-style barbecue with grills built into the tables. We really enjoyed ourselves, but didn't know exactly what expect given it was our first visit. Food and service were great and they walk you through the whole process to ensure you get the best experience. Both broths we had were great and there is the option for a LOT of food. We were totally stuffed by the end of our meal! It was fun, different and very reasonably priced considering what we received - highly recommended! Unlike other hotpot restaurants where a large hotpot is placed at the center, here each diner has his own pot to cook in with their own preferred broth. I personally enjoyed the Sichuan hot pot, a broth covered in a deep slice of chili oil in which dried red chiles, Sichuan peppercorns and various other spices churn around like the remains of toy sailboats after a hurricane. You can choose from seven broth options that range from traditional Sichuan spicing to vegetarian Chinese herbal soup to who knows what (Tom yum Thai! Pig bone style! Mushrooms! Spicy butter and beef!). Then wander through a buffet half the length of a basketball court, with kimchi and dipping sauces for yards. Now, settle into an elaborate picture menu so long your eyes will cross and your children will fall asleep as you read. Want mushroom? There are five, whether enoki or shiitake. Tofu? Several versions live here, including skin, fried, iced and soft. The range of meats would shame butcher shops, including prime brisket and lamb, multiple tripes and pork, shrimp and mussels and clams and octopus. Multiple versions of fish are also available and just to round things out there are numerous veggie options, including bok choy, bean sprouts, watercress and crown daisy! Although this time we didn't partake, as I mentioned above there is also the option to have Korean Barbecue, either as an alternative choice or as a combination with the hot pot. Next time we will be including more people in our party, so that's the route we will be taking. Suggestion: plan ahead as it's busy. Arrive too late on a weekend evening and you might wind up waiting. Reservations are accepted and, especially for larger groups, I would recommend. Even a 2 p.m. entrance on a Saturday will see half the restaurant fill in as you eat. We came to this hot pot after trying Urban hot pot since we wanted to try the BBQ part. We went ahead and did hot pot and BBQ. We were lost at first with the BBQ part, but luckily our server Ray was amazing. She helped us with spicing up our hot pots, showing us how to use the BBQ table to its fullest and answering all of our questions fully! I could tell she was a bit overbooked as it was a bit hard for us to order anything additional. Luckily we ordered quite a bit from the start. I also did get a brown sugar. Amazing food! Everything was fresh and ready to order table side. We enjoyed new foods and some traditional ones. The waitress also explained that you can do foods one piece at a time to see if you like new dishes like black fungus and pork blood. There were a few times we got an incorrect order and the grill took quite some time to heat up. The meat also took a a while to cook. In comparison to other Korean bbq places, the meat had odd cuts and were a bit tough. I cannot complain too much because the price is awesome! My first and last visit. What a scam! $32 for "all you can eat" 7 of us, only two meals came out. Waitress was nowhere to be found. When we finally found her to ask about the rest of our meals, she had to enter it in all over again, claiming their system went down. Then a couple more meals showed up. It was our first time and we had to basically go with the flow and figure it out for ourselves. The waitress helping the booth behind us sounded amazing and pleasant. She explained everything to that table and even gave suggestions on food and sauces. I didn't even realize the huge recommendations sign above the sauce bar until I heard her. The experience can be overwhelming if it's your first time and don't know the whole process. The sauce bar has an amazing array of ingredients to choose from to make sauces but if you don't know what to put together it could be disappointing. It's dark inside, so be sure to look above the bar and you'll see the sign hanging from the ceiling. There should be cook timing suggestions as well (unless we weren't informed while we were there) for cooking on the bbq so you don't eat raw meat (especially chicken and pork). Even the hot pot too, some of the meats just boil and get tough if they're in the hot pot too long. If this does exist, we were not informed. It's an experience for sure and if it's your first time, I recommend trying both the hot pot and bbq to try it all. We probably won't be back unless other friends or family want to go. My daughter and I went here finally. Inside, we found a beautifully decorated interior with kind and helpful staff. Our waitress Tiana was extremely helpful since it was my daughter's first hot pot. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, so while the food didn't seem like a lot at first, it was more than enough. It was great food but a little on the pricey side. However, the fact you can order crab legs as part of the meal was a big plus. I think you get a cluster per person. The Galbi (short rib) for bbq was mostly too tough though, so stick to the more tender meats for the BBQ. Overall, a great experience. By the way, they add the gratuity (about 18%) automatically for the 2 of us. I liked our patient waitress who answered all our questions so I rounded up a bit and gave a little extra on the tip line. I was a little surprised they couldn't provide me with melted butter when I asked, however. But the waitress suggested and brought me lemon wedges. One down side is that you really can't choose just bbq or just hotpot. You have to get them both or at least pay for both and can opt out of one or the other person can have your portion maybe. I have a lengthy, in-depth review on Hotpot 757, so if you're interested in trying this restaurant, my review may help prepare you for what to expect. We went to the Greenbriar location, February 20, 2023. We had 6 people in our party, ages 14, 15, 21, 23, 50, and 54. We arrived at 7:30pm, to less than half the tables occupied. Seated immediately. We are a family very familiar with Korean food and restaurants, and we weekly throw a Korean BBQ get-together at home with everyone. So although this was first time trying Hotpot 757, we felt fully confident what to expect. All 6 of us ordered the unlimited Hotpot and BBQ. That's about $34 per head, so you can eat. We were seated at a table with 6 individual induction burners in front of each guest, and off-center in the table was a BBQ grill. Remember this, that the grill is not exactly in the center. We'll circle back to that. The server then asked us each individually, what flavor soup broth we wanted, and they return with each individual pot of broth and place it on your own induction burner. These burners are fully controllable on each one. They rapidly beat and boil your broth, but won't catch anything else on fire, like menus, napkins, fingers, hands, because they only affect iron. So the burner never actually gets hot. It heats the pot. Then the server individually asks each guest what meats and veges and carbs they want, for the soup, and for the grill. You can pick as many choices as you want, and there are allot. Once they bring it all out, you can start putting it on broth to cook, or on the grill. There were 3 different broths represented at our table, butter beef, mushroom, and original. We all tasted them all and found them very bland. Maybe it's by design. Like zero salt. But the amazing sauce bar is there, and we go up and got bowls of garlic and ginger paste, soy sauces, chili oils, chives, green onions, and a million other things to add to our broths and make them proper. The table, while large and long, is not nearly large enough to have room for everything. Ask 6 the meats and veggies and pots and burners leaves little to no room to stretch out and eat. I literally had to hold my soup bowl in my left hand the entire meal and add things to it while working the grill tongs with my right. Remember the off-center grill? Well the 2 people farthest from it can't reach it, so they have to stand to reach to cook their meats, or depend on other trying to eat and cook their own, to cook theirs for them. There is so much going on on the table, it takes awhile to realize they didn't bring out 4, 5, or 6 items the table ordered. By then there is already no room anyway, and you can't fathom them bringing more stuff... Now let me say, the beef and chicken bulgolgi was very tasty and flavorful. We all agreed. The meats were good, everything was GOOD! But... It was such chaos fighting for room, dealing with the grill placement, that it started to become an exercise in futility. Well just wanted to enjoy cooking and eating, but really, literally couldn't. Other Korean restaurants swap out the soot covered grill half way through, but not here. It was completely burnt over with black crust, the server saw it several times, and did nothing. We didn't say anything, because we just wanted it to be over. The food was good. The process was a pain. We thought. We've been to many other Korean grills, and this I've just seemed the most chaotic. I should say, we were all glad we went. Everything was good and fresh, for sure. But I know for a fact my wife and I felt like we didn't eat a fraction of the $34 per head we paid. We wanted to really take our time and enjoy, just just couldn't, because of the setup. We will go back again, but just the 2 of us. No rush, no hustle and bustle, confusion of what meats and veggies belong to who, what meat on the grill guess to who, who is coming what and turning the meats. We were there for the 14yo's birthday, and to avoid the chaos, he just put all his grill meats into his hotpot and ate that way, and he loved it, and that's really all that mattered. The ordering process, with each guest picking all the unlimited items they want, opens it up to confusion and chaos. You'll want to pay close attention that they bring evening you asked for, and the right person for it. For us 6 guests, it was only about 70% accurate. And the table is so busy, so crowded, you really don't know what all you have until it's too late and your nearly done. We will go again, but with less people, let ingredients ordered. read more
