Anne was incredibly fair and supportive of medical interventions when desired or needed-- so you won't feel like it's "all or nothing" for an unmedicated birth! Not only does she bring 30 years of quality experience, she shows up with the most incredible aura. Calm, confident, and steady. Throughout the pregnancy, she was checking in on us regularly and provided guidance on how to manage the last few weeks of pregnancy. The pre-labor massage seemed to reduce the time I was in early labor and she took diligent time to talk through our birth plan so that we felt equipped for the big day. When the big day arrived, she arrived at the hospital quickly after we alerted her. She coached us on proper positioning and was the necessary resource during the chaos of childbirth. I had a tight pelvis and back labor and she was able to provide insight and direction on what decisions might be best for our specific case. Patti sees the whole picture of childbirth and was able to help my baby come out smoothly and without complications. I truly believe I would have had to have a c-section without her there. My husband and I call it is a p-section (P for Patti). I thought having her at the birth was essential but even more so was she essential postpartum. She spent many hours putting my body back together, working on our baby girl, teaching us massage techniques and breast feeding tips. Our baby had a bad crick in her neck and would roll over to her side at night which made us worried. After Patti released her tense body, she has been sleeping so much better and is able to keep her neck straight. I hope Patti is around for all my future babies births because I can't imagine doing it without her! She is the Mother Theresa of childbirth and has given her life in the service of mamas and babies. It's not even proven to be an effective method of therapy for kids with learning disabilities. They are locked in a room with the therapist for 45 minutes and part of the therapy consists of extremely inappropriate games such as sword fighting. It teaches the kids how to fight and be aggressive. Sherri and Lynn are both a joke. Super goofy and racist. Sherri is an intern who is not even licensed and has ZERO credentials. Why the hell do they have an intern doing therapy sessions without supervision? If you have a child of color, I would strongly recommend you run from this place. Find a real therapist who understands your culture and who doesn't have a superiority complex.

I've been wanting to go here for months and am so glad I finally had the opportunity!!…read more I went with my family on a Friday afternoon. We booked the 45 minute candle-making class not realizing there was a difference between it and the regular 2 hour long class. Trust me - there's a big difference! We realized we weren't going to figure out another time to do the longer class, so we doubled down on the 45 minutes. We really enjoyed picking out our vessels and scents for the candles. During the 45 minute class you get access to some but not all of the available scents. We enjoyed the mixing and matching and I settled on a couple floral combos for my candles. I like that they list different categories of scents that tend to go better together. Next, you measure out the scents to mix with your wax. Our chandlers did a lot of the heavy lifting (heating the wax and stirring) for us as we had our hands full. Finally, we poured out our wax and cleaned up! We were able to pick up our candles the next day and I've enjoyed the smells throughout my apartment SO much since then. I learned so much about candle care too. I even stopped by a few days later - they sell DIY kits for candles, soaps, and even bath bombs, which I got as a Christmas gift for a family member! I love that they encourage you to save your vessel to reuse at another class to make a new candle - I will certainly be doing that. They're pretty easy to access with free parking in rice village garages for 2 hours. I can't wait till next time I visit!

Ms. Powell provided evening care for our daughter. Her duties included feeding our daughter with expressed milk in a bottle, giving our daughter baths, changing her diapers, and putting her to sleep. She also did the baby laundry and took care of cleaning the baby bottles and my pump parts. As time permitted, Ms. Powell kept our daughter engaged in meeting her developmental milestones. She is very creative and comes up with different ideas to keep our daughter challenged at all times. Our daughter has learned a lot from Ms. Powell and most of all she was happy with her! Ms. Powell is quite knowledgeable in baby products and baby care methods. As a first-time mom, her suggestions were valuable to me and helped me make better decisions.
