The rest of the toppings are essentially the same as Chipotle. They did have a flamin hot cheeto burrito which looked interesting. Driving back from Cincinnati and stopped in for lunch. The restaurant is attached to the gas station and you can enter from outside or from the gas station. The layout is similar to another restaurant. I went with a bowl with white rice, steak and fajita veggies. They had a sweet habanero sauce that was both sweet and spicy. I also added the jalapeno ranch sauce so there was a kick to the meal but the food was hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was pretty clean. If you want queso or guacamole, there is an uncharged so I didn't get that. Definitely would eat here again if I'm in the area. read more

Enjoyed my stop here while on a bit of a road trip. Stopped at this exit for something to eat and picked the first place that is not available in my hometown. It is a fast casual place attached to a gas station. I asked when arriving what they recommended given I have never been there before. They said "if you have been to Chipotle we are basically that with more sauce options". This made me chuckle, but they are not wrong. I got a bowl and several different sauces on it. I'm starting to think that gas stations are the sleeper destinations for good food, because this Hot Head Burritos is located inside (well, adjacent to) a Shell gas station, and it is surprisingly a great place to get a decent burrito. This isn't the first time that a gas station has surprised me with its quality of food, and I'm thinking it probably won't be the last. Are gas stations the next gastronomical foodie destinations? It's definitely something to chew on. Hot Head Burritos is like Chipotle and Qdoba, in that you can customize your meal with the available ingredients. We got a pork verde burrito (pork carnitas, rice, pinto beans, pico de gallo, cilantro, lime, chile verde and monterey jack cheese) and the sweet habanero burrito (chicken, rice, black beans, pico de gallo, sweet habanero peppers and monterey jack cheese). We were able to substitute and add things, but we wanted our burritos the way they were listed on the menu. All of the burritos on the menu also come as a bowl (so, with no tortilla). The people who made the food were super quick, and the burritos were very tasty! I am typically not a fan of Chipotle-style customizable burritos, but considering that this burrito joint is directly off the highway and quick to get to, this is a good option if you're looking for a fast meal. read more

This is an extremely clean fast food burrito joint. Similar to Qdoba. Great place to grab a quick lunch. Especially if you're just passing through on I-74 as it is located in a gas station right at the Batesville exit. They have several burritos to select from. Also you can have any as a bowl. read more

Connected to a gas station we weren't certain what to expect of this eatery that was new to us. Upon entering, my husband thought he smelled Curry, however, I didn't see anything which had curry as an ingredient... I was glad to see they offer both Keto choices as well as Paleo and of course burritos of different varieties. Hot ahead also offers nachos and tacos as choices with varying sauces and pepper choices. Service was good and we were allowed to make changes which was similar to Qdoba. Those of you that like heat and peppers will be excited to see the many options! It was a cold evening and inside was only slightly warmer than being outdoors... Of course, I was also very tired and at this point in our six hour trip was a bit hangry, so that could have had a little swaying of my comfortableness or lack there of...The food was good, with a bit of heat. Wasn't expecting much from a place attached to a gas station but we were pleasantly surprised! Very good portions and staff was helpful considering we had never been to a Hot Head Burittos before. Food was hot and very tasty. I love sauce so I was very happy with their extensive sauce selections. We need one closer to Bloomington so we can go more often! We ordered carry out from Hot Head- the first time ever eating here. We ordered the 4 bowl family meal and ordered two chicken, 1 steak, and 1 taco. Our food was ready on time and service was fast and friendly but our food was incredibly bland. We won't be visiting again... stick to Chipotle. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I don't have a problem with the employees, they're all hard workers and extremely nice. The manager at hotheads is not a great role model for the hotheads corporation. I think his name was Jeff and he is very unkind to his loyal employees after they bust their bottoms off. Jeff doesn't respect his employees enough and goes out of his way to talk down on said employee to other coworkers simply because he can. This is not a great look for the the batesville hotheads and I will not be going here again due to the lack of respect that Jeff reciprocates back to his employees. read more

People bash on hot head burritos but I love it to death and go back every single week. This place never disappoints me the workers are always top notch, doing what they're told and doing it how they're supposed to. The food quality doesn't quite compare to chipotle but it's still very very good. read more

A great option to eat in batesville. They have more options and more variety than chipotle. I have always enjoyed the food!
