The location is fantastic (it really could not be better) but with being close to the central square, it can get a bit noisy, so make sure you bring earplugs unless you are a heavy sleeper... If you are looking for a hotel with a fantastic location for a good price and are prepared for a bit of compromise, it is a great choice...

Don't plan on having: heat, if you're there in the winter, or Internet (it is said that they have wireless access, but I was unable to get on anywhere on the property.) Broken things remain unfixed. The owner is often out and there's no one else to check you in. On the positive side, it was affordable, and the place was quiet and not dirty. If you are well-advanced in your practice of non-attachment, you may do well here. This establishment also goes by the name of Residencial Portalegre.

(jumping chains, gears out of order and super used tires) but he would'nt take it into account or lend us some tools to feel safer during the trip. I can't imagine the welcoming is much better as for the guest house and anyway they shouldn't have so unfriendly and unprofessional staff like the person we dealt with.
