I was told not to speak at the Trial because he knew his job well, and we would surely beat the charges, he has many years of experience, I trusted him, and I paid him. Mr. Brungardt did not meet with me before the trial to discuss anything, and when the Trial date arrived he didn't even tell my side of the story, much less try to defend me, I wrote him notes during the trial about things that the witnesses were saying that were untrue, he never even questioned them. He made no attempts at telling my story whatsoever, he didn't defend me, he didn't even try. I was found Guilty on both charges. I asked him how do I appeal, his response to me was that I couldn't appeal it. Oh Yeah, WATCH ME! At the very least I will be asking some serious questions to the Powers that be, that give him the power to ruin peoples lives, rather than telling me that he would win my case, he should have said No, and suggest that I go elsewhere, if he wasn't going to even try to perform the duty that he was paid for. Mr. Brungardt was very friendly and likable, as well as being convincing. It really saddens me to have to write this less than stellar review. If you are facing a very serious charge that you don't want on your record then I have to suggest that you look elsewhere for your Legal support. I would have had a better chance if I would have defended myself, or at least demanded to be heard, rather than silenced. Don't trust YOUR FUTURE to someone who doesn't care, and if you must hire someone, please use YOUR VOICE. Learn from my mistake, believe me, it will be with me the rest of my Lifetime.

Every time he "represented" me in Thurston County Family Court it was a failure. He actually made things worse than if I had self-represented. Then after his numerous mistakes and courtroom bumblings, it turns out practicing law isn't the only thing he is really terrible at. He is also spectacularly bad at math. He was off by a whopping 25% on his estimate during our initial consult and written agreement. He wouldn't even explain how to comply with the court's order or give us a copy for that matter until we coughed up the extra dough he demanded. This guy will milk you for every dime and not do a single thing for you. By the way, my ex-wife and her twenty-something-year-old lawyer, she got everything she asked for.
