The unit in the master bedroom was problematic from the start. The bedroom would not cool off. We wound up putting in a window unit while we waited for them to return. The master bedroom unit was the furthest from the original condenser, and we think that the length of the piping was not efficient and that is why the room would not cool off. They installed a separate condenser just for the bedroom. (Generating 2 separate fees every year for maintenance) Periodically, the unit would tick so loudly it would wake us up. They came back out, of course we could not re-create the issue, but they didn't even bother to take a detailed look at the unit to see what was going on in with the bedroom unit. The tech got nasty with me, and was very condescending. When we called them to schedule the yearly maintenance we were told they were out of business. We hired another company who came out. The tech took the unit apart, cleaned it put it back and the unit stopped ticking. All the technician did was clean the unit and snapped everything back into place.

We reached out to Gottier, a local Oil/Plumbing & Heating company. They came right out and replaced the furnace and put us on a payment plan. Very easy and excellent work. Well, 37 years later, we found ourselves needing to replace that furnace. We called Gottier. We didn't even get a 2nd opinion because we didn't want to use someone else. They gave us another great payment plan and came out to install the furnace. When they left that afternoon we had a new furnace and everything was cleaned up as if they hadn't even been there. Unfortunately, they didn't clean up the rest of the basement so we're going to have to do that ourselves! Lol. When I lost my job a few years ago it happened to coincide with an increase in oil prices and our monthly budget payment was going to increase significantly. I called Gottier and told them that I had lost my job and the woman I spoke to was just so sympathetic and adjusted our budget plan so that we could afford it until I found another job. Her last words to me as we hung up: "Promise me that when you get another job you'll call and we can adjust the amount to reflect the increase." I promised and 6 weeks later, I called her to tell her of my new job. She was so excited for me! And for Gottier, of course! What's prompting me to put this in a review today? Well, a couple of days ago we got a phone call from Eric at Gottier fuel telling us that, as we could imagine, given the state of the world, oil prices were going to go up. We had a scheduled delivery 2 days hence. He was calling because he wanted us to know that the prices were going up so we wouldn't be shocked. That's amazing customer service for sure! They are so kind, so helpful and so understanding. If you're looking for an oil company and or a heating and plumbing company, you certainly cannot go wrong with Gottier.

I paid $100+ for absolutely nothing, AAA appliance should have taken my model number over the phone when I had first called for service and tried providing it, had they done this they could have come to the same conclusion (parts not available) without scheduling a tech. I took notes during the quote and have no doubt about what was said. Beyond the pricing issue, the work was subpar: He completely skipped a large section of one deck. He did not power wash the back side of the garage. He failed to move furniture or other items out of the way, instead washing around them. Several small plants were killed by careless water blasting. Unfortunately, I did not get the quote in writing, so I'll pay the invoice -- but I'm left frustrated, disrespected, and extremely disappointed. I would not recommend his services to anyone.
