Each progressive township inspection raised code compliance issues that I had already mentioned but was put off. We had agreed SunEquity would install a pergola, but their initial attempt demonstrated that they did not know how to do that. Even after providing design examples they struggled with requirement. They cut corners at every turn, attempting to use low grade materials, and then leaving pencil marks, construction labels, and rough edges everywhere. At closing, Mike promised to clean all that up and promised to complete the "forgotten" electrical work after the inspector left. Instead, as soon as the inspector left, Mike dismissed his crew, and told me since the electrical work was not detailed in our work statement he wanted more money. Enough I said. I chose to pay him to leave rather than demand he finish the work. Recommendation: do not deal with person! Further detail and photos available upon request.

We had water damage in one of our bathrooms. Our insurance company recommended Allen Restorations…read moreto provide emergency service and repairs. The team showed up quickly and brought the bathroom back to its original condition (including an optional upgrade which we paid for). The whole process from the beginning to the end with all parties involved including the insurance carrier (USAA) emergency team (Allen Restorations), repair team / Service Providers: Joe [Manager], Dustin, Brad, Reed, Alex and Jack; (Koser Construction / Service providers: Ryan and Nick) and carpet cleaners (Allwein's / Service provider: Doug) went well. The Allen Restorations project manager, Brin, did a great job coordinating everything in a timely manner. Our 4-star (rather than a 5-star) was based upon not receiving a paid in full (or zero balance) receipt once our full payment was made. As a result, we had to contact Brin, the project manager, to obtain our zero-balance payment invoice. Would recommend customers receive this item in a timelier manner to successfully close the loop.

Once I producec the copy of paid check, the story changed again and now it's 500 for charges. I urge everybody especially Senior citizens like myself to avoid this company who must be financially struggling that they are going after past customers and threatening them with ruining their credit unless they give into their demand. Has to be laws against this kind of business practices especially towards the elderly .

On the day that I could not be home, Kurt sent me pictures of the progress of their work which was very comforting to me. Needless to say our car tires were in danger! When asked about this they replied that's what happens when a roof is replaced!! My neighbor physically picked up twenty two nails in the parking lot! A few months after the roof was finished I noticed three different areas of my condo had water marks on the ceilings . I contacted the condo association whom sent a handy man over to inspect the situation. He assured me that there was an issue with the roof replacement. We then contacted Klausmair to report the damages. Two young men showed up at my condo only to deny any wrongdoing! They were extremely disrespectful to me as a woman let a lone a home owner. The men told me if the wind blows the wrong way I would get water in the condo!! I'm almost positive that the wind will continue to blow and I find it hard to believe that the wind only blew on my condo since I'm connected to five other condos that had not gotten water on their ceilings! Low and behold after denying my claim to fix my water stains. They returned at a later date to replace/install the roof boot which was not installed at the time of the roof replacement! Just about two weeks ago now a shingle blew off the roof not sure what will happen with that problem!! I would like to warn anyone looking for a roof replacement to go to a professional that will guarantee their work for the duration or the warranty!! This could have been a 4 star experience if pick up went a little easier. The backstory was I…read moreneeded glass for a dresser top. It needed to have polished edges. I called several different glass companies to get estimates and lead times. Only two answered, one quoting a price of $60. Howell's gave me a price of $35, while all the others never returned my messages. It was a no brainer to place my order with Howells, although I did have some pick up concerns. I was told it would take a week. I placed the order on a Thursday around lunchtime. Howells shares space and/or has some sort of affiliation with a True Value in the city. In a less than desirable part of the city. I was concerned about parking, as that area is street, and some metered and very hard to secure parking. The weight of the glass according to my goggle research would be about 27 lbs. I was concerned about the possibility of walking some distance in a bad neighborhood with a large piece of glass. I spoke to them about this and was told of their parking lot in the back off of the Beaver Street alley and to call when I got there and someone would bring it out. To my surprise my order was ready for pick up a few hours later and was a few dollars less than they quoted me. I went to pick up after I got off work, still dressed in my work attire. The alleyway is wedged between a church and warehouses. There was a lot back there, wasn't sure it was theirs but parked and called. They said I was in the correct spot and to walk up the ramp, thru the glass shop, into the True Value to pick up. I asked why they can't bring it to my car and was told that "there was paperwork I needed to complete". It was prepaid. I assumed someone would carry the glass out. It's late in the day and about to get dark. I'm in heels. I walk up the ramp and thru a workshop where they are actively cutting glass with protective gear on. I'm not in protective gear and it's a maze to get to the store. In the store a lady hands me the glass and the receipt - which apparently was the "paperwork aspect" and I'm left to fend for myself, carrying this huge piece of glass the same way I came in. An employee did offer to open the door for me but at no time was it offered that they carry it to my car. I made it ok but wasn't thrilled about the experience especially after being told pickup would be handled differently. Note to store, they need to make this process easier for customers, especially females and at no time should any customer walk thru a working "shop". That alone is a huge liability. Also labeling of the lot and lighting would be most appreciated for safety reasons especially in such a bad neighborhood. Otherwise I was thrilled they got my order done earlier and for less.
