I am going to try to express what I want to say in the nicest.... most diplomatic, respectful way…read morepossible. CCR. A fan. I still remember the pride when Dirks Bentley wore the CCR shirt on the awards show. I love their music. I still hit Spotify all the time. Thank you. Second thank you. A BIG one for inviting Will Hoge. I have followed him for almost 19 years now. I have seen him live many times. In fact.... I saw him in Austin the night before I saw him at Grady's. Epic show in Austin. Magical. I live in El Reno. I haven't always. So I would be and am grateful for any live music near me. I will go over and spend a bill. Drink. Laugh. Sing. As often as I can. I think Mr. Cross for even giving me that opportunity. Now. The lights. The sound system. All the buffering built into the walls. It is a great place to listen to music because I think Mr. Cross knows music. But.... the high top tables in front of the stage. No. People come and stand. And when I am sitting... I cannot see. I got there at 6:30 pm for a 8:00 pm show to claim my spot. My first number is not a 2. It is a 4. I loved that all the people who were there and their first number was a 2.... and they knew Will's songs. And sang. Support the music. Yes. But when they were standing in front of me.... blocking my well staked out view of the stage.... I was annoyed. Low top tables please. The bouncer cleared all the glass and bottles in a timely manner. I get that. Appreciate it. I saw bar fights often in dive bars when my first number was a 2. I appreciate the staff. Glass is dangerous. The Bloody Mary that the nice girl hobbling around in a boot made me... really good. All the staff .... very nice. She was great and I tipped her well. Ask her. So grateful. Really. That Will was invited and came. Thank you. And I know it is a dive bar. I have been in so so many. And I will return to this one. I just hope next time... may be there will be a few low top tables and chairs in front of the stage. And may be a watchful bouncer that will help encourage the lively people who stood in front of me and basically took over the show... will be reined in a bit. Mr. Cross. Respectfully. You are a delight. I thank you for the bar. It's been a great success. I hope it continues to be. Respectfully. A very enthusiastic fan of Live music. And I have a credit card... and I am certainly willing to give you my money if I can see the Band not the back of another patrons head all night long.

She said "yeah I just don't have the cherries or syrup" I told her that the original was made in 1880 and it didn't have any of that stuff in it except a quality rye whiskey. Then you stir it with bitters and sugar. Serve over a block of ice. She said "I've been trained and I've been bartending for 10 years. " I said " the drink is older than us and was invented before you and I were born." She asked what whiskey I'd like. She didn't have any Bullet brand or Woodford so she offered a Pinhook brand rye. It was $10.40 for a small 2 Ozs and she asks how much bitters..and sugar. (Didn't she just tell me she knew how to make an old fashioned? ) and that she'd been bartending 10 years. Then she dumped a 1/2 glass of chipped ice on top and asked if I wanted it stirred. I told her "sure" Hell she had it so full of ice she couldn't stir it and it watered down the drink. We'll come back for the music and ask a manager to correct everything. The customer is always right and I didn't need the attitude from you. I tipped your jar anyway snowflake.

We were a party of four friends, visiting for an evening of drinks and conversation last Friday. We…read moresat ourselves and the waitress was very friendly. She reluctantly explained the QR ordering system (sounds like she's heard complaints about this before) and brought us Singo cards as well as a little lamp for the table. That's the end of what went well. From there we all placed our orders: 3 mixed drinks including my "tipsy water" and a beer. The tipsy water is their version of a classic ranch water (3 ingredients - Blanco tequila, fresh lime juice, and Topo Chico). Their menu confirmed these are the ingredients of their "tipsy water". When our drinks arrived, I took the first sip of my drink and it was awful! It tasted like pure salt, missing carbonation, and tasted NOTHING like a ranch water. I had my friends all taste it as well to ensure it wasn't just me. They all agreed that this did not taste as it should and recommended I send it back (which I have never done with a drink before in my life). The waitress was so sweet to oblige and took my drink back to the bar from our table. She returned with an other tipsy water which tasted the exact same. She asked if it tasted better and I unfortunately had to say no. I had already thought about what I'd order instead, a standard vodka and Diet Coke (easy to not mess up) but wasn't given that opportunity. Instead our very kind waitress told me that the "manager" "bartender" had instructed her to not tell me, but she refused to make us anymore mixed drinks. No explanation. My husband asked to have the manager come to our table. Haley (the name given) arrived at the table and we introduced ourselves. I shared that my drink did not taste like any ranch water I've had before. She stated that several other customers had not had an issue with their drinks that night. I asked if she'd said she wouldn't make us anymore mixed drinks. She said she had not said that. I shared that the waitress had told us that and then Haley said, "did you hear those words come out of my mouth". I asked her if she was calling our very kind and pregnant waitress a liar? Haley then confrontationally asked if we wanted to have the waitress come over and say that in front of her. Of course I said, no! I would not be responsible for her getting in trouble for sharing the truth. The next part was the truly unbelievable. Haley then proceeded to reveal that she'd made the drink but they were out of Topo Chico, which no one had shared beforehand. I have no idea what they substituted for that crucial ingredient, but it was awful. Haley defended herself, the drink, and her comment and finally revealed she didn't even make the drink correctly. The entire interaction Haley was escalating the situation versus diffusing, as a manager should do. I finished by asking who the manager was. Haley said she was. I asked who the owner was. Haley said she was. I informed Haley I'd be leaving a review then and we would be leaving. We paid and left the tip in cash for our sweet waitress (who I hope received it). It was a truly shocking encounter. We left and determined not to let Haley ruin our night, found another bar and had several well made ranch waters. We will never return to this bar.

Overall, great experience. Came here with friends, and enjoyed the games. Space was clean, friendly…read moreservers, and helpful staff explained how things work. Cool aesthetic and would be great for a date night or bonding with others. As far as food and drinks go, the ghost chili mango margarita was okay, along with the fries (tasted like grocery store fries that I heated up in my oven. Very underwhelming). The tuna tacos were nice, and the ricotta/honeycomb dish was somewhat bland and lacked flavor. Cool idea though.

I signed up for a membership in July of 2025. For the first few months, my experience was great. I…read morereceived good service, the food was good, and the bays were well-maintained. Around the start of 2026, the service took a steep drop. They had a revolving door of staff, from wait staff up to managers, coming and going. Some days, the bartender wouldn't bother to show up, so the manager was running the bar. Other days, the cooks were AWOL, and the manager of the week was trying to serve a limited menu with long wait times. It got to the point where I wouldn't see a wait staff member for 20-30 minutes after setting up in my bay. When I would finally go looking for someone, I'd usually find them all hanging out by the bar socializing. One night, my wife and I sat at the bar after finishing up in our bay and were ignored for 10 minutes by the bartender 4 feet away while he flirted with the waitress and female manager. The menu was never outstanding, but at least it was well-prepared...at first. By this spring, it wasn't unusual for food to come out room temperature because the wait staff was either gabbing with their friends, or they were swamped running 10 bays because 5 Iron can't seem to keep a full staff at any given time. So by late May, I knew I was not going to renew. On three separate occasions, I point-blank asked the person at the front desk if memberships were auto-renew. I was told every time that they were not. I would then follow up and say, "So I don't need to do anything on my end?" and was told I did not. Lo and behold, July rolls around, and I've got a new charge on my card for the *non-discounted* rate. So I call 5 Iron and naturally, it's a call center in India. I'm told that oh no, memberships automatically roll over to month-to-month. I said that I was told otherwise by multiple staff members, she implied I made it up. Told her I wanted to cancel the month-to-month and wanted the charge reversed. She claimed it had been more than 24 hours, so she couldn't reverse it - mind you, it literally just showed up on my card as a *pending* charge *today*, less than 24 hours after my year-long membership ended on July 9th. At any rate, she was going to have to reverse the charge, but she couldn't give me any kind of case number, that I would just have to wait for a confirmation email. Oh, and if I didn't get the email, I'd be lucky enough to get to call into the overseas call center yet again. If you look at the positive reviews, you'll see that they are all from early on. So if you like poor service and mediocre food along with staff that don't have a clue most of the time when you ask them anything beyond their name, by all means go to 5 Iron. It's disappointing, because it started out so well, and we always recommended them to others. I wouldn't ever go there at the going hourly rate, which can jump up to $50/hour or more.
