Again I seem to be reviewing an entire village. It has a…read morewonderful little show in May..very friendly..in a field in Jubillee Gardens. The gardens themselves are very pretty and great for picnics. They also have an open air swimming pool where the water is warmer than a bath. Tennis courts, bowling green, cricket and a golf club. Then go for a walk in the woodlands and see the tearooms..something of a bygone era. Here too was the Spa and hospital. In the middle of the woods is The Kinema in the Woods situated in the centre of the Pinewoods is one of the treasures of Woodhall Spa and is completely unique. Housed in a converted cricket pavilion, when it opened in 1922 it was one of the first cinemas in Britain. It is the only cinema in the country to employ back projection and also offers regular entertainment on an original Compton Captain Organ. Little shops and cafes in the main street where you can get a meal or a cream tea. The shops are arcaded and look as if they should be at the seaside. Some nice hotels and pubs too. This is Dambuster territory and here they lived. Well worth going for a day out as there is something for every age.

I've used it many dozens of times and sometimes I came away feeling…read morequite pleased that I'd been served well, other times I vowed never to return (until the following day at least!). It's inside a large newsagents so if you've got kids with you be prepared for lots of 'I want, I want' as it's full of sweets and toys. There are often large queues, which aren't helped by the fact that the staff seem to spend quite a lot of time talking to each other rather than serving. Not always, but enough times that it becomes an annoyance for regular users. Bizarrely, the nearest Post Box is a few hundred yards down the road, so either hand letters in over the counter or take a bit of a walk after you've bought your stamps! If you're an Ebayer in the area, I'd much sooner recommend taking a trip out to Scawby where the service is absolutely excellent and can't be faulted in any way.

There are several counters and when it's busy they do open all of them to minimise delays. The staff I've dealt with in this branch on my many visits with mountains of Ebay parcels are always fast, efficient and knowledgable. The shop itself is clean and well located next to the bus station and main pay and display car park.
