After a bit of research (ie: on their website), I learned that "Soccer Post is the largest retail specialty soccer chain in the United States, and that Soccer Post Arrowhead is a family-owned and operated store for soccer players and enthusiasts of all ages." While unfortunately, we left our visit empty handed due to the cleats my daughter wanted not being in stock in her size, I was pleased with the overall selection, friendly staff, prices, etc... I would definitely return if in the area and in need of soccer stuff!

It is truly a family affair and the passion for soccer and leading these young players is evident at every practice and every game. This philosophy applies to the families as well -- no pushy parents cursing at refs and growling at opposing players here. They currently play at Peoria Sports Complex, the spring training home of baseball's Seattle Mariners & San Diego Padres. This, while not a centralized location in the Phoenix area, does provide free parking and ample space. I've been a supporter of AZ United since it's inception, thanks in large part to being a member of La Furia Roja 1881, one of 3 supporters groups for AZ United. I love going to the games and enjoy supporting a local professional soccer team. the team is still figuring out how to gain a solid foothold in the fickle Phx sports market, and a home stadium in downtown Phx would be a great start. also advertising. they do the bare minimum of that, which is ironic considering the main owner started Arrowhead Advertising. those are my main gripes about AZ United. oh, and the lack of merchandise. every time I have the chance, i go to AZ United games. if you're a fan of soccer, make the trip. it's worth it.

One nice feature is the little Kid's Cove splash pad area for the kids to stay cool in. Parents were taking advantage of the misters by the playground there, too. Some really cool vendors - lots of food choices, pet supplies and treats, jewelry, 3-D printed offerings, and some booths offering services for alarms or window replacements. Bathrooms were open for guests and vendors alike. We made a purchase from the mobile bookmobile vendor right by the entrance. Weather permitting, we'll be back. The A/C in our car was on the fritz, but if the vendors can handle the heat, so could we. A fun weekend adventure.

More volunteers needed so you can end up with a parent who can't keep score properly. The rules seem to be vague as they had to stop multiple times because everyone was confused on whether a point was scored or not. The person from NYS who is supposed to be in charge was not doing a great job. Also the line judges are kids who didn't say one word and looked lost. I suggest paying for a different league if your child truly has a passion for the sport and wants to get better.

When researching different clubs, all the mega machines kept coming up but after a couple of tryouts with those clubs we were feeling a little unsure that we really wanted to allow our then 10 year old to give up bring a kid, and have to fork out thousands in club fees, uniform costs, and to top off crazy travel costs. We were lucky to find FC Batavia. From day one it was evident that all the coaches were concerned with not only attracting talented players who already had a lot of skill but also on continuing to develop these players.
