This school is an absolute NIGHTMARE! I read the mixed reviews beforehand but decided to give them…read morethe benefit of the doubt because from my understanding there were no other options. The 2 weeks my children (ages 9 and 11) attended this "school" we had nothing but problems. Problems with discrimination-my mixed race son was called a nigger his 2nd day of school- problems with bullies-my daughter was bullied from day 1 and had problems with the snotty kids in attendance here- problems with them being injured- my son was stabbed with a pencil and the teacher told him in an angry loud tone to "hurry up and just go wash it off", and all the while everytime an issue happened I ,for one, didn't find out until the kids came home to show or tell me what happened which is TOTALLY inexcusable and unacceptable, and secondly, the principal always wanted to try to make the issue "a teaching moment for the perpetrator." Absolute nightmare! They are not going to make excuses for these horrible kids and their parents at the expense of my children. Only after, I found out that this was the same school district that was sued and lost in court for refusing to create an IEP for a child that needed it. They actually tried to fight the mother in court for them not accepting the child's needed IEP. Absolutely inexcusable, negligent, and shocking behavior demonstrated by staff, the principal, the parents, and the children. I do not feel safe sending my children in the hands of these monsters. My straight A scholars couldn't focus on learning because of all of the bull that came along with this poorly ran establishment. I pulled my children immediately after the stabbing incident was brushed off, and I never heard from anyone AFTER I brought it to their attention. I was planning on homeschooling because anything would be better than sending my children here, but thankfully a spot was open at a nearby Charter School that we will be exploring first. I would encourage you as a parent to deeply look into this place before putting your beloved child in the hands of these negligent, horrible people. Make sure you check your children over really well when they come him from this place because Lord knows they absolutely will NOT let you know if anything happens while in their care like they should do as a "school." Clearly a lot of incompetence, negligence, and red flag after red flag going on at this horrible place. Would never recommend or even mention this place ever to anyone considering a school. They should not even be allowed to call themselves a "school" period.

Katy is a wonderful teacher and her…read morepreschool is the most well-rounded preschool I've seen (and my kids have been to a few different preschools). She goes above and beyond with not just teaching letters and numbers, but also giving them a head start for kindergarten by teaching things such as sight words. There were many fun field trips and special parties throughout the year, and the kids also had plenty of physical play as well.

Our kids weren't allowed to read beyond their "class" level because the computers didn't have the level they wanted to read associated with their grade, poor curriculum, and many other issues recurring over and over. We reluctantly chose to send our kids to the first year of GWA even though they held classes in portable classrooms while the building was being built. That first year was a little out of the norm, but a fun year nonetheless. Since that first year we've seen the school grow by leaps and bounds and our kids have had the best education - better than I had hoped for. In fact, our Junior in high school at the time and her friends were struggling with math and our 6th grade son came home showed them how to do it because they were studying the same concepts and he understood them well. The school is outstanding in all cases. Not too large, but not small either. My only wish was that there was a GWA high school for my kids to move on to. Outstanding school.
