I've never received such a nasty email from someone who is supposed to be in customer service. Never ever ever ever again! Update: I love how this person (Steven Drake sdrake@forkliftuniversity.com) has the nerve to respond to my Yelp review, but when I sent an email weeks ago I didn't receive any kind of reply. Hopefully I'll get a reply to my Better Business Bureau response as an. This is outrageous! Do not do business with this company! Buyer BEWARE-! They put the FU in Forklift University

I kept getting passed over for jobs I was applying for. And I needed to do some beefing up on my…read moreresume. One of the areas that needed attention was some certifications. So I knocked out the OSHA10 training on my laptop and did some other little things like CPR via Zoom. But when it came to getting a forklift cert I wanted something with hands-on training, something that gave me a little experience in the driver's seat. I wanted to feel confident when applying to jobs at local staffing firms that, if given a try-out, I could hit the ground running with a little confidence in my forklift skills. Happy to say that Forklift U met my needs. I took the training here at the Las Vegas campus. Easy to find. Parking not an issue. The first part of the class is watching videos. You get to see a whole bunch of potential mis-haps and hopefully it'll settle in that you are dealing with people's lives here. It can go horrendously sideways in an instant so get ready to learn up! After that we go through the written course materials where we learn about OSHA's requirements and how they fit in with our employer's training and PNP. After the written test we get to hop on board a fully functional battle station and hone our chops in the parking lot. First drill: donuts! But we also do figure 8's and 90 degree turns and some more technical stuff. To sum it up: it's a six hour course. You could possibly go a little over time so make sure your schedule is flexible toward the end. I got Steve (the owner) for my training and I couldn't possibly recommend anybody more. Industry vet giving you heads up on what's coming down the pike and pointers on your technique. Super patient with us noobs and a cool attitude. This was a good experience all through. I have the cert now, but what's more I have the confidence for my first day on the job in a warehouse driving a lift. Thank you FU, and FU to everybody else too!

I attended TA back in 2008 and graduated in 2009 and made some good friends. At the time the school…read morewas located off of River Rd which I know it's at a different location now. The instructors were so kind, atmosphere of the school was beautiful. Here are some things I didn't notice about it that I wish I would have noticed at the time I was attending. The prices for service were just as much as a normal hair salon. There weren't a lot of walk-ins so we didn't get that much hands on experience with clients on the floor. BIG We were lucky if we got one client a week so majority of the time we worked on mannequin heads. They also didn't let us experience color ratios/mixing and being in the back bar or the receptionist areas. When I did have a client in my chair (most of the time it was my family members to come support me) and I would do a haircut on them it was like pulling teeth to have an instructor come check my work. They seemed annoyed when I asked for help. They didn't teach me to make sections when it comes to doing haircuts they always showed me to start in the middle with a big section and to slowing follow the guide towards the crown of the head. They barely focused on the things we needed to know to pass the state boards. It felt like we needed to teach ourselves how to do haircuts, color, perms, shampoo sets, facials, waxing, pedicures, manicures, etc. Looking back I wish I would have attended Evan's Hair School because they get way more experience with walk ins and their prices are much cheaper. It's been a rude awakening with working in the hair industry fresh out of school and after being a sahm for 10+ years and feeling absolutely clueless as to what I'm doing. This hair school is also very very expensive so that also is so frustrating to feel like this after spending all the money and time here.
