Not only is Dr. Brady a congenial doctor, she has such integrity I would trust my hearing to no one else.

Keri made some adjustments to my hearing aids, providing a much better fit. Time will tell if it improves my hearing, but she has said that if the improved fit doesn't improve the efficacy, we will continue to work on getting the hearing aids to do what they should be doing. Larry and Keri are very pleasant, and truly seem to want to make sure that I become a totally satisfied customer. I am happier than I was a few days ago, and hopefully when I have given the hearing aids a workout in different environments, I can say that they do exactly what they should be doing - enable me to hear everything I need/want to hear!

Before they were even out of warranty, the audiologist suggested a newer model to the tune of $7000. We had another audiologist check them out and were told that the new top of the line model was overkill for my father. Penta never gave him options, just told him he needed these newer hearing aids. And, by the way, he never could hear better when they were "adjusted" almost every month. Can you say rip-off?

Feb first week, 2023:…read more Even after repeatedly mentioning before and during my appointment that I needed just ear cleaning, the office ( per Dr Kay's advice) performed all the tests they had and charged me for that.  Listening and being sensitive to what the patient is asking for and explain why the tests are being performed was not done.

Took a shot of making an appointment at this office (Part of Penn Medicine) to consult regarding my…read morefrustrating ENT issues (Eustachian tube, tinnitus, pain, vertigo etc.) As soon as I walked in a man in a white coat approached (later found out it was Dr. Kay). In a few seconds he was on the subject of hearing aids. "Have you ever gone skiing and demo'd the skis?" He said. "No, I replied, but I've demo'd tennis racquets". Looking at me like I was a ripe candidate for a sale, "Well, you can demo hearing aids here...let's get you into meet our Audiologist." Before I knew it, much to my surprise, I was suddenly a hearing aid candidate which was not what I was there for. Yes, I do have some age related hearing loss, so I figured I'd go along with it. I tried a couple of different brands and found it all tedious and uncomfortable. My reaction to wearing hearing aids was met with "Your reaction is not something we usually find with our patients". I won't bore you with what happened over the next couple of weeks, suffice it to say...my eventual purchase of hearing aids from Costco was more thorough, more technically sophisticated, more sensitive...not to mention a more realistic expense than my experience at Dr. Scott L. Kay. I bear no bad feelings to Dr. Kay (although his behavior seemed odd - at one point during my check out he and an older woman were seated behind a screen, either observing or "hiding", it was weird.) I sorta felt like a fly caught in a spider web. What's more there was no mention of the issues I came in with. My major complaint, one that seems to being growing steadily since I move to Monroe a few years ago. An area mostly populated by senior citizens. An overriding sense that senior health care is "get 'em in and get 'em out, collect those fees" attitude that is disturbing. Multiple offices, double booking to the point where elderly patients waiting 30, 40 minutes in examining rooms waiting for their 10 minutes of attention. Regarding Dr. Kay, something is up over there and I would not recommend him. In any case, so much for my omnipresent ENT issues. The search continues.
