Cool craft beer bar - I swear you couldn't get this kind of beer selection, and especially not on tap, one year ago. They had IPA, pale ale, APA, porters, wheats, from Berlin, michelstadt, Leeds, suria Spain, Scotland, portage Michigan, and their very own Hopfenreich brew - a braufest beer - which I throughly enjoyed. The ambiance has a cozy, old Europe feeling: old wooden tables, vintage light bulbs, candles. If it's warm enough it's a nice corner to sit outside and watch people go by. Best of all, the glasses. I've come across articles periodically claiming that the different kinds of beer deserve different glasses for proper enjoyment. America has not caught on and the pint glass is still ubiquitous. Not at Hopfenreich - they know how to serve good beer. It's so much fun to watch the berlin crowd get excited and interested in the beer diversity Americans have been exploring for a couple of decades now. Nimm dass München!!

You love craft beer? That's your win! 22 craft beers on tap. That's all I need to say, but it's too short for the review. Read more... The place offers constantly changing range of local beers, and beers from all over the world. Berlin is not Munich, so is Berlin beer ^^ taste of freedom with 9 % alcohol inside your glass. Great verity of ales with all the flavors you can imagine. And your imagination can go far, following bar Beer wall. Be careful drinking and enjoy the vibe. My personal choice is chocolate beer!

Yes a thousand times YES. Friends and lovers - all are welcome. Even a stranger can become a friend or lover, both or neither. So, be careful and crafty about counting the percent alcohol in each precious glass of beer.

Craft beer galore and a good vibe. The beer selections were not my favorite, but for the area, this is a good place with fun, young, hip crowd. Everyone was very friendly. The area seemed a bit dodgy after dark, but we didn't feel unsafe. Because it's craft beer, it ain't cheap, but if you're looking for something different than Bit Burger, this is the place and you're gonna have to pay for it. Not sure I would visit again, as the beer was somewhat bitter for my taste.

Beat beer bar in Berlin. They have a great selection of local and imported beer. And in not talking about the normal pils or dunkel or weiss.. Here u can get IPA, Saison, Imperial Staut. 14 beers on tap! Fantastic!

Great little bar with a great selection of craft beers. Also there is a nice crowd, but it can get busy on weekends.

The peeps were friendly in their own way. Took a little bit of time but eventually they seemed to warm to me. One huge biker dude took a shine to me and kept joking with me all night in broken English. At the end of his night (which was quite early) he swooped in and gave me a kiss on the cheek and wished me a lovely vacation. The bathrooms were cleaner and nicer than the cobalt/funkys/astoria from my dives back home in Vancouver - seriously Vancouver, get your shit together - LITERALLY. Drink prices seemed super reasonable to me. But really anywhere in Europe they seem reasonable to me. Bartender didn't really know how to make a whiskey sour and what I ended up drinking wasn't that fantastic, but I think that's my fault, what the hell was I doing ordering a whiskey sour at this place? Beer seems to be the best bet. The place filled up quick and seemed very popular with the locals and tourists alike.

Grab a beer and enjoy great DJs, awesome bands and even a regular burlesque show! I had been told to go here by various people who had travelled there to perform with their bands and I'm glad I listened to their advice. The crowd were all great too, you felt really comfortable and among like-minded people. My favourite night in Berlin was the night I spent at Wild at Heart. GO. I urge you. One final tip - make sure to go next door and eat at Tiki Heart.

Lerchen+Eulen is one of these places. it's been one of my go-to spots in this neighborhood for years and i don't see that changing. Svenja's review is right on: there are plenty of bars like this around Berlin --cozy secondhand furniture jumbled together like a bad Tetris game, warm low lighting, great coffee+alcohol-- but the specific details set it apart. the staff are amazingly friendly (seriously, i wonder where they find these saints!), their cakes are always delicious and the perfect balance to their coffee, and you can get whatever kind of seat your little heart desires: curling-up-with-book benchseats in the big windows, working-with-laptop table seats, barstools for hanging with the bartenders, cuddling-sofas, and outdoor tables in summer for people-watching. it's a great spot for most times: earlier in the day, it's mellower and emptier (and less like a smokehouse), so is nice for working or catching up with friends. the wooden-tiled floors (very cool!) and brick archways, the old jazz and blues on the stereo, the old chairs and wooden tables decorated with fresh flowers and candles in big jars, make the space feel somehow a bit like a country inn during the day, a perfect pause from the bustle of the Markthalle next door. when Lerchen+Eulen fills with people at night, the dense layout and multiple rooms make for a wonderful coziness for huddling together...and Drinking (with a capital 'D'). Svenja's right, their Moscow Mules hold their own, but they're also one of the few bars in the area to serve the delicious local Potsdamer Stange beer from the Braumanufaktur. all in all, a perfect addition to your full weekend ritual on Pücklerstrasse: stop by the Pony Hütchen for second-hand gear+furniture, then the Markthalle Neun for groceries+lunch, then to Lerchen+Eulen for all your caffeinated and alcoholic needs...
