There's been a lot of talk about Trosa Thrift store around town lately. I've seen it all over…read moresocial media so a friend and I decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon. Trosa is located on Peters Creek Hwy in the Food Lion strip center at the Clemmonsville exit. It's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking which I love. Right inside the door is their whole furniture section, they have tons of tables, chairs, dressers , etc. they even have a whole section of office specific furniture. The prices are very reasonable. This would be a furniture flippers paradise. Towards the back they have shelves of everything from pillows to whole sets of dishes, sports equipment and the most medical mobility equipment I've ever seen anywhere. I'd say, if you are in need of a walker, a bath seat or portable toilet for someone look here because they probably have it at a fraction of the cost it would be to purchase new or rent. The clothing is grouped all together but they aren't keeping it organized as well as it needs to be. All different sizes were mixed in together and I quickly got frustrated and gave up. Both of us had found an item in the kitchen area we wanted so we headed to check out. The workers were very friendly as well. I'll definitely be checking out Trosa regularly in the future. Trosa supports substance abuse treatment. If you want to donate to them, they offer pick up for larger items or you can bring your items to their donation drop off around the back of the store. Just follow the signs.

Lots of clean and trendy furniture as well as some leather couches, glass dining room tables, chairs, etc. There was also a room full of sinks (some with pedestals or bases), cabinets, plenty of boxes of flooring, screws, nails, etc. There were several appliances there as well including microwaves and some ranges. All in great condition. If you wanted picture frames, sponges, lamps, new sheets in boxes, curtain rods nik nacks....it's there. Don't judge until you've been there. Granted, it's not like a department store where everything is brand new, but if you're looking for a great place to browse for a great deal...this is the place. I brought my mother (total Ms Judgment!) and she was taken aback as to how different this place was from the older one on Lawndale. They still have all their color coded discounts to look for as well. So, if you want to bring your mother some where (with no judgement), consider giving this place a whirl. Oh....the bathrooms are exceptionally clean!

You can also include their campus cafeteria within your professional development training, and it is top-notch. I'm not a vegan, and even the vegan items are amazing. The value of Center for Creative Leadership is in the unspoken outcomes of togetherness and connection that conform between your teammates. I have been to two trainings on this campus, and both have been exceptional. They also can bring their staff to you to provide professional development in your business, but it truly is the full experience when you give us a thumb.

Those of us who have ever known or been affected by the homeless know that they live a hard life and that there is an invisible barrier between the homeless and the rest of society. That barrier is hard to breach because so many of the things that we take for granted or not available to those on the street. We want these folks to get a job and be self-sufficient, but in order to get a job we have to have an address and contact information and the ability to receive mail as well as legal documentation such as an ID and Social Security information. City with dwellings is a place that tries to bridge that gap. There are a lot of food kitchens and shelters but those do not always "teach a man how to fish."
