I cannot say enough about the wonderful care I received from Dr. Olufemi Oladele-Ajose, Janet, Gerold and Don. I was in a lot of pain from kidney stones and was upset to be away from my family the day after Thanksgiving. I feel like everything moved pretty quickly. Im normally very anxious over tests and bloodwork but everyone was so great. I hope I wont need care when visiting Lufkin in the future but if I do I know where Ill be going! read more

Well, I had a horrible headache and sore throat. Again, Hope ER and staff were there with genuine care and concern. Fortunately for me I was negative for Strep throat and the flu. I had a nasty viral upper respiratory infection. Thank you Doc, Janet and Robert for providing excellent patient care and not over treating me. Rest, fluids and decongestants relieves my symptoms and I'm back on track. read more

My daughter had hurt her knee and this was the nearest place to go. We got here at 8:30 p.m. and didn't leave until 12:20 a.m. That wouldn't be a problem if we weren't the only ones here for most of that time period. Took us an hour to get taken back for X-rays and then an hour and a half for the results. It was overall just a very long and unnecessary wait. The staff was nice for the most part though. read more

I went to Hope for a Covid test yesterday and was amazed how caring they are. One lady in particular named Kelly that doesn't believe in pain. She also explains things very well! She deserves 10 stars for her compassion and the Dr.s were great! Kelly has a sense of humor to put you at ease and is the BEST! If you need a test done see her there and she will not hurt you! Went into this place on 1/2/19 due to me having Migraines, dizziness and being light headed after standing or moving around. Don't get me wrong the staff was great and did a wonderful job accommodating me. The doctor ordered me a CT of my head without drawing any blood from me to send to the lab. He gave a me a shot in my arm for the migraine headache and said that the CT came back normal and sent me on my way. To make a long story short I made a doctors appointment and she looked me over head to toe did blood work and needless to say I had to have an emergency blood transfusion. read more

My experience at Hope ER was awesome. I had no idea what all you can get done there. They can do blood work, x-rays, CT scans, rapid flu and strep tests...what ever you need, all for the same co-pay as a regular hospital ER, but a much better experience. Dr. Ajose and the staff are very friendly and caring. I don't know why they weren't very busy, I guess because their waiting room wasn't filled with Medicare and Medicaid patients (they don't take those). Also, the trauma patients from ambulances get taken to the hospital ER, so you don't have to wait in line and keep getting bumped back every time an ambulance comes in, like you do at the hospital ER. So if you have insurance or you are paying the bill yourself, this is the place to go. If you are self pay, they charge WAY less than a hospital ER and they actually give you a list of what everything costs up front. I have NEVER had a hospital give me prices up front. They keep that a secret and then bill you thousands of dollars. No one wants to be sick, but Hope ER makes the experience as good as it can get. I wish I had known about them last year when my mom fell and we weren't sure if her hip was broken. We took her to CHI ER and she was in great pain sitting in a wheel chair in the waiting room. We waited FOREVER for an x-ray and then they said they needed a CT (why didn't they do the CT in the first place??) Then, at CHI, we had to wait a long time to get the CT, because people with signs of stroke came first even though we had been there longer. My mom ended up having a hair line fracture in a pelvic bone and was sent home with pain meds. We were there all night. If I had known about HOPE ER, we would have gone there instead and been in and out with much less time and head ache. Hope ER is the place to go if you have insurance. read more

While this ER was very new and clean and the nurse was very professional and polite, we paid $100 ER visit for them to give us no answers. They sent us home with "we aren't sure what it is", but if your symptoms get worse, come back in and we will re-evaluate (for another $100 fee!!). They refused to do a flu swab due to the doctor believing it was too early for the flu, even though the symptoms were exactly the same as the flu. Well, symptoms got worse but we weren't paying another $100. So we went to an urgent doc, and he was diagnosed with the flu. So that's $100 down the drain and now its too late for Tamiflu. read more
