We didn't know anyone in Swanzey or members who belong to the church. Once we got unpacked and settled into our new home, we decided to attend a service at the Community Church of West Swanzey. Everyone was very kind and gave us a wonderful reception. We felt so comfortable that Sunday that we came back again the following Sunday. The Pastor of the Church, Emmanuel Bawa is a wonderful preacher glorifying the kingdom of God in his teaching's. As for the members, they welcome us with open arms and together everyone worships and sings to the Lord. We now attend the Sunday service 10:00 am to 11:00 am and always stay a little more time for coffee and pastry social. On Fridays we attend the Bible study, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, in which we all read and discuss the teachings of the Bible together. If anyone is searching for a place of worship, you will feel right at home with this Church and its congregation just as my wife and I have found it to be rewarding. God Bless you and thank you for reviewing my review of this wonderful old Community Church in Swanzey New Hampshire, and I hope you will consider visiting us soon.

And the steeple was toppled in the hurricane of 1938. Every few years since 1994, the organ has been struck by lightning! There's interesting history here :-). The spacious main hall is bright and stately. And UCC Keene is a welcoming group, active in the community, the nation, and the world.

This church is where is not only where I found Jesus when I needed him, but also where I found family and community. It is a bit strange, like getting invited into a really intimate family, but once you are a part of the family, there is nothing quite like it. read more

Very nice place to go if you don't want a dress up ceremonial religious service. Just a straight forward sermon that applies to modern life, casual atmosphere and friendly people. read more
