I guess this is more for the after care facilities! I didn't have the pleasure of actually attending the His Mansion Program! I was on the waiting list for months! My name was Lisa Poort at the time! I was accepted to go to the rehabilitation homes connected with His Mansion while I waited for my turn to getting into the program! I was homeless at the time & just grateful to have a place to live so I accepted the rude treatment of my roommate who I believe was upset & offended that they allowed me to live their without having been in the program! To make a long story short, the legist of my issues came when my roommate thought I was a prostitute because a kind gentleman had helped me out! I had to take the bus everywhere because I didn't drive and I didn't own a car and their rules was if I didn't have a job, I had to look everyday a certain amount of jobs which I did! I was trying for hair modeling at the time and didn't realize the bus had stopped a certain time! I accepted a ride from someone who bought me a Wendy's dinner & helped me with some money because he said he knew what it was like to struggle! Nothing ever was done! He was very kind to me & didn't even attempt a thing but my roommate there was very opinionated & judgmental! Within a few days, the lady who ran it forced me to call him & tell him I never wanted to see him again & that he was never to call their again! She said if I didn't tell him I would be forced into a homeless shelter! It felt horrible telling someone who honestly hadn't done a thing wrong and in all actuality was much nicer than anyone I was dealing with at the time that I didn't want anything to do with him! I did though and wow, she still forced me into the Holland Mission! Sadly, even they treated me better than these two females! I almost wish I had known she was going to do that, I would have just told her to send me to Holland and would have still had a friend! I don't know anything much about His Mansion! I decided to stop calling eventually because I really was turned off by the rudeness of those who I dealt with directly at the after place! They say you can tell a person by the company they keep, I hope that is not true in this case! Being arrogant & judgmental was not the way of Christ, but of the hypocritical Pharisees! So, if you are still over on Alpine near the Meijer & you remember me from 2003, know that in time all will be revealed! You were wrong to me & didn't even listen to what I said! God knows and in time, all things are made right! I believe in God's Justice, not Man's Justice because God does it best! I don't forget those who hurt me & no, I don't have to turn my cheeks! Christians hurt their wounded too much as it is! You might have converted many to "The Light" as you think but if you have no heart or care for people and only "image" and status quo, you are not walking in the light!
"Man looks at the Outward appearance, but God looks at the Heart" and to me, actions speak louder than words! You can talk Holier than thou but can you back it up in how you treat the least of those in your life? Those females I dealt with definitely didn't walk that walk and I will never forget them until I stand before God and plead my case to him!!! read more
