They give you a free box lunch, a presentation of their programs, and a brief tour of the warehouse. I had been to God's Pantry before to volunteer, but this presentation really opened my eyes to everything that they are able to accomplish and how they work to supply faith based and other partner agencies in 50 counties. They feed 200,000 people a year. For every $1 you donate, they are able to distribute 8 meals. With only 50 full time employees, I am very impressed with how efficient this organization is. It was also very interesting to find out where all of the food comes from, for example our local Kroger and Walmart donates bread, meat, and other items that can be frozen on their sell by date. God's Pantry is also committed to giving out healthy foods-their goal is 1/3 fresh produce. It was the day before my son started that we received notification that said director was resigning for "personal reasons." Take that as you will. As far as our personal experience, we did drop off and were able to take my infant son to his room (this is not the normal Covid policy: they wanted us to drop him at the door). When I walked in, there were two babies at the entrance of the room: one lying on the floor (not in a boppy or on a blanket, but on the floor), with an older child sitting up beside her, looking down over her, with snot running out both sides of his nose. I made a comment about the snot to both the director and the worker, the latter of whom was sitting across the room. It was the director that finally wiped the snot off as my husband and I looked horrified. We left, feeling like this was not a good fit for us, based on the the combination of abuse allegations and level of engagement (or lack thereof) of staff with the children. I returned at 1200 to pick up my son. I explained my concerns to the Asst. Director, who was apologetic, and waited for her to retrieve my son and his things. We were pulling him completely from the daycare. As I waited, the training she'd been completing on her laptop was still playing--and it was a recording, I believe, of a person talking to (I'm assuming) a group of Asst. Directors and Directors about "how to get more children in the door without having to hire more staff." This, I feel, sums up the mission of Kindercare. It showed in our experience. Again, we will not be returning.

They have indoor basket ball courts which can used to play volleyball occasionally. The place itself isn't bad but I have heard that the neighbourhood is bad. Many people have reported stolen things from their car. The restroom isn't clean either. So don't depend on that. It's good if you just come here , play your game (Volleyball or Basketball) and then leave. I am not aware of anything else that goes on where. By the way, we have volleyball going on regulary at Sundays from 1-4 pm if anybody wants to join. It is $5/time or ~$40 for an entire season which would be 3-4 months.

This is…read moreprobably one of the worst places for any animal to be -- if I didn't have to return the kitten I got from them to them, due to a clause in their contract, I would have rather her to Lexington Humane Society or give her to someone who could have cats/kittens (unfortunately my apartment turned into a no animals allowed unless it's a service animal). They aren't honest with you about the cats/kittens whether you call the humane society or whether you call petsmart. We adopted a kitten and her whole face got bloated, her eyes were red and watery, swollen, and she was sneezing hardcore. I don't usually own cats so I called and asked them about it, they were completely clueless. "yeah, maybe some dust got in her face and she started sneezing." Puh-lease. I was born at night, but not last night. I googled and used tik tok and found out she had a respiratory infection. So I had to use more money to go help her out because the vet said that she has had it since she was born so it would be a reoccurring thing, but PAWS told me that she was perfectly healthy. I then found out I had to return her because of my apartment no longer being pet friendly, and I could not get grandfathered in even tho I had asked. They were so hard to get ahold of until I finally could and I asked if we could pay cash or card, they said either. I told them I didn't get paid for a couple days after I drop off, is there any extra fees? They told me no, then told my partner once they got there, it was 13 dollars, with the card fee and if "we didn't have it, then we had to take her back." Despicable place. PETSMART should get rid of their partnership or whatever they have with them. And someone should probably go close them down. Never EVER adopt from them or take your animals there. Horrible people who work there with no empathy and horrible environment for animals.

There's parking all around on side streets and they've got a great sign next to West 6th brewery. The facility is filled with fun unique art and signs of upcoming events at the Plantory. Up the stairs is where their main office space is located and that's where our class was held in various parts of the space. All were unique in their layout for whatever you may need the space for. I definitely recommend people check out their website and what they are offer in this community for affordable office space. Bathrooms were kept up very clean and labeled. Their front desk manager was very friendly and helpful for letting me know about whatever questions I had. I'm very excited and will do a follow up review when I complete the course in 8 weeks.
