Food: Quality was great! We came for the Hainan Chicken after hearing about the place from a friend and indeed it was really good. We also had the flavored rice that comes with Hainan Chicken and it was quite good, but a little less flavorful than some other places. We inquired whether there was soup since we had ordered half a chicken instead of a set, and they very generously gave us two bowls. The soup was great! As a soup lover, it definitely had great flavor and had a home-cooked flavor, the feeling that it had been cooked for hours and good ingredients, including goji berries. We decided to be adventurous and tried the vegetables with cheese and it was alright, nothing special to write home about. I would have been a bit happier with regular vegetables, but you live and you learn.
They also have a very extensive menu with a wide variety of dishes, including Western dishes and soup-vide dishes.
The variety of dishes meant that there were families that seemed to live in the area that went to eat there, and groups of 20-somethings who went to have different platters or steak and fries.
Service: The staff were very friendly. It felt like it was a family-run restaurant. They provided great suggestions, weren't pushy, and were very friendly.
Environment: It's a simple environment with no frills, but it was clean and does its job.
