The motto is Our Family Serving Yours is quite appropriate and embedded within the Family Express culture. Beyond competitive fuel prices, my favorites are the Mild Roast Java Coffee and the square glazed donuts *(when I can grab one as they go very fast). Food is always fresh as is the coffee. Being a locally family owned business, I believe it is imperative that local communities support these businesses. And by the way, the Family Express Perks are also great!

Called and talked to young man who was hard to understand (slurred speech) and he confirmed. Asked how I was going to use 5 washes in 14 days and his reply was "I'm only doing my job, ma'am." This is their job? To sell services that can't be used with no disclaimer at time of purchase? What a waste! In today's inflation, who can afford to throw $30 down the drain? I don't buy gas from there and now, I never will. Speedway is across the street.

Even when I gave them ample opportunity to charge for repairs I didn't need or gave them proof of my ignorance regarding cars where others had tried to sell me transmissions or other costly repairs, Ernie's was always reliable, honest, and forthright. I was never charged more than they advised me and they kept in good communication with me - though sometimes I had to call to follow up. Bottom line? Always reliable, charged reasonably and less than others. Quick, reliable service. Loved dealing with Mike, the mechanic :) They service all the police and city vehicles so they are busy. Towing can be a bit pricey, though. Still... Until I moved to another city, they were always friendly and professional. Really loved this place!

This particular gas station/mini-mart has been an independent entity for many years, and only…read morerecently aligned with Citgo. I've usually gassed up here, and bought my lotto tickets here, for many years because it's just east of downtown Hobart and on Route 51. Very convenient location, that I think only the locals patronize, as opposed to the bigger stations on 61st by I65 or at Route 6 and Route 51. And that has meant that the prices are a little lower, too. Well, along with some improvements that Citgo has made, the gas prices have risen to the average for the area. Recently, it was $3.89 here, the same as two different Speedway stations. Boo hoo for me. But Citgo has made some improvements. The mini-mart is tidier, cleaner, and better organized. I noticed as soon as I stepped in. Most of the junk food for sale is the same, but it looks better. Can I say there's just a general aura of improvement? I saw some chairs pushed off into a corner, so I wonder if there's going to be some kind of seating. That would be an improvement, too. So, my super-cheap gas station secret is no more. Even so, I'll still keep coming. The location is convenient and because it's not super-busy like other stations, I can get in and out quickly, with very little traffic.
